160's club

I didn't see a 160's club so I decided to start one. I'm in need of some motivation to keep the weight loss going!

I lost 30 pounds last fall but I've been completely slacking the past few months and ended up gaining a few pounds back.

I NEED to keep losing!

I weighed in at 168 this morning. My first goal is to get to 150. I'm 5'4" and I'd like to ultimately get to 130-135lbs.

 

Anyone else want to join me in the 160's club? (hopefully not for too long!) :)

yes -- i hit 161.4 on tuesday!! i been incorporating strength traing! 150' s seem so close- hoe exciting!

I envy you!  I'm up to 172.4 today, partway because of my Coke addiction (the drink, not the drug) and partway because of the Chinese Buffet, where I ate 2 1/2 plates (and the 1/2 was the vegetables, go figure).

hI yall, still at 160/162 even tho i've uped my exercise for a month...sigh...

can i join you? I'm almost in the 160s. I'm 171 but hoping to be in the 160s soon.

 its all good- its prob just the sodium retention-- oh god i love chinese too - we constantly go to the panda buffet where i used to consume 3 plates but now im down to 1.5 lol i know i know still to much!

i just been excersizing a lil more with warmer weather so i think thats helpin me! but keep on workin at it - this will work! Wink

Shauna - I had mostly sushi so I guess I didn't do so bad.  It was bad sushi though.  I only had half the pieces I picked out...

My BMI is beneath 30 once I hit 169.5 YAY.

I hope you don't mind..but I would like to join the 160's club as well. I'm 28 y.o, 5'3 and started here 3 days ago at 171. This morning the scale said 166. I know that 5 lbs. seems like an awful lot in 3 days, but I have been REALLY strict on my calorie count! I measure EVERYTHING out and and have been staying about 100-200 calories below my daily limit. I also drink 3-4 glasses of water a day and about 3 cups of coffee. These are the only liquids I consume. Before I started this "lifestyle change", I would only drink coffee and soda all day!! A sip of water with my night meds...that's all.

I was 127 after giving birth to my oldest daughter...ten years ago. This is where I want to be again! In the last year alone I gained about 15lbs. I went from a size 8/10 to a 14/16.

I am DETERMINED to do this!! WE CAN DO THIS!

6/22 - 160.6 almost outa here!

i started in the middle of January have been slowly losing weight.

I stopped drinking pop a year and a half ago, and i think i ended up gaining weight... same thing happend when i stopped eating red meat (and all meat for a few years) about 6 years ago.  Its frustrating that ive gained weight doing those things, but i know they are good for my health in the long run.

But after being around 150-160 for a few years, then going to the doctor and seeing that i was 180, it was time for a change! Im glad to almost be back to where i was.

ugh- went out of town this weekend and didnt count cals and was so busy didnt workout - i feel so lazy - tomorrow is my "official" weigh in days but i am not thinkin it is goin to look to hot!

cross my fingers- here is to hopin for at least a pound!!!

So I've read a lot of the previous posts on here and I would love to join this group.  Right now I am 167.4, and I started at 175.   My goal is 125-130 and I am 5'3" and 23.  I haven't always been heavy it started after high school when I stopped dancing.  I had originally gone to school for dance and with a bum knee decided it wasn't the right route for me.  Now I am going to start law school in August and I would love to loose a significant weight by then, because I know my exercise (and social life!) will be cut down drastically once I start.

I actually have two trips planned this summer, one being Las Vegas at the end of this month which I would love to loose 5 pounds by.  I know this is a big goal for 2 1/2 weeks as I usually loose closer to a pound a week but I would love to start to fit back into some of the stuff I own by then!  Then end of June beginning of July I am going to California and would like to loose another 6-8 pounds by then!  That is also a goal for me because I am part of a weight loss competition at my gym which ends right before I go away then, and the winner (most % of weight lost) wins 6 free training sessions!  So I would love to join this group!

well w/ the right discipline u can do it. up your workin out and u should be able to lose 5 pounds-

i have a florida trip for end of june planned and i would love to lose 6 pounds by then-

at least these trips keep us motivated however once we get to our places its prob hard to watch our food there- lol but whats one week of fun goin to do

I'm in the 160s...and not very impressed about it! My goal is to lose 34 pounds. I'd maybe like to be skinnier than that, but I have a large frame, and any less than 130 pounds I look all elbows haha

I've never been this heavy. I hope I can keep to the diet....:

The scale read 162 today.  I'm hoping to be at least 159 by week's end (May 18).  If I'm successful, it would have taken me approx. 2 weeks to lose 10lbs (which I'm sure has been mostly water).

Foods I eat:

Large bowl of oatmeal (morning), water, fruit, peanut butter, nuts, mixed greens, legumes, olive oil, fish, chicken (breast only, no skin), brown rice and plenty of vegetables.  When I want something sweet, I eat a baked sweet potato rubbed with olive oil (yum). Also every day, I make sure to take a multivitamin with minerals and get at least than 30 grams of fiber (brown rice, oatmeal, fruit, etc.) and 30 grams of protein (legumes, chicken, salmon, sardines) before 7:00 p.m. and absolutely no eating after 8:00 p.m.

Foods I don't eat:

Absolutely no foods with added sugar and salt (very little), absolutely no cow dairy (milk, cheese, egg), red meat, wheat, alcohol, coffee, soy (unfortunately, it effects my estrogen levels otherwise I would eat it) and no fried foods.

Exercise:

I walk/run for 25 mins (2 mi) at least 3x/week. 

I'll let you know if I reach my goal on Sunday!

caminony- wow you are really strict with your food intake!  Although I'm curious why you eat chicken but not milk, cheese or egg?  Is it for dietary reasons?  Sorry if I'm prying.  I'm just curious, I'm a semi-vegetarian so I'm just curious if it's similar to my reasoning.  This lack of meat is a pretty new thing to me so it is tough trying to get rid of meat while trying to loose weight.  As of right now I eat chicken about 1x per week and fish about every other week.  I'd like to cut it out completely but I'm not sure if it's realistic for me right now (especially with my upcoming vacations!).

I burnt about 800 calories at the gym today, so it was a good day, if only I can keep the food in check for the next couple hours :)

Wow I've been lazy.  I am waiting for 169.5... but I won't get to look at a scale until Sunday.  Maybe it'll help!

Meanwhile I am feeling like **** (pardon the profanity, but it's warranted) because the guy I'm seeing is all excited that he got to make out with and rub all over a skinny girl... He hates commitment, and I'm starting to really hate this non-commitment...  Will my future thinness change any of this? I'm starting to really doubt it.  I just hope he doesn't call me until I'm calm.  I don't want to flip out right now.

wow leopard how do u not freak out about that- i couldnt do that i think commitment is the way to go

even if u were skinny skinny u would still feel jealousy but i hope u have the confidence hear soon to not put up with that- i couldnt at least

but i had a fun mothers day weekend w/ to much food and up to 162.4 hopin to kick it back in gear and be to 160 next tuesday- crossin my fingers!!

I'm at 170 today.  According to my parents' scale, I am 173, but I've learned to take 3 pounds off because the scale has been 3 pounds off or more since i started weighing myself.  I put my scale (which is fairly new) next to theirs and I saw the 3 lb difference.

But the 160's is a very emotional time for me.  You should read it in the rants.

As for Louie, he did say that he only did it because he felt an "honor" to do it. He didn't care for the girl other than she was his friend.  He said she was too weird for him, and that's why he wouldn't go for her.  I'd still like to be skinny.  It's all for me.

I am  just a few inches taller than most of you, I am almost 5'7 but I have been stuck between 160-162lbs for the last month. When I started my new way of living in January I was between 172-174lbs. So, I would like to join. Cool
