I have noticed that there is a club for almost every weight groupn except the 150's   Well I am 153lbs... I have been looseing through the 150s for the last seven months and I was feeling like there was no one else around with similar stats and goals.   I am 5' 6.5"  I have been on and off diets for the past three years.  This time I have changed my lifestyle for good.  I have found the 150's to be sooo challengeing.  I want to move that big weight on the scale down one notch.... anyone else out there in there 150s and haveing a slow go at it and want to rant, trade sucess tips, trade motivation, trade frustraitions????

Hi, my name is Karey, and I'll join you!  I've been looking around for a 150's club too, but the only ones I found were very old and there wasn't anything going on anymore.  This should be the new 150's club!!  Anyone else want to join??

A little about me... I am currently 158.6lbs, down from the 180's.  I am 27 years old and 5'7".  I joined CC on Feb 17th and have lost about 23 lbs so far and am planning to lose even more.  My goal weight is 143, but I may go a little lower if I can, depends how I feel when I get to my goal.  I'm anticipating the 150's to be tough and I'm envious that you're already at 153.  Challengeme - what was your starting weight and what is your goal?

Hi, I'm Hannah, Im 18, and weight about 158 lbs, and im 5ft 11. Yeh, it is such a hard weight range to try and lose!!! I have stuggled for months to lose the 20lbs i want to lose! Anyone got any tips to help me?

Yeah I think I was the last one to post on the 150's Club and no one else posted since.  Pity!

And now (cross my fingers) I hope to be out of the 150's here shortly.  Next week would be awesome!!!!!

I am 5'7", 26, and 151lbs.   I started at 160lbs the end of March.  So I am averaging about 1lbs loss per week.

I have been watching and logging my calories on a daily basis and it's been a real eye opener doing this.

I also have been walking 3 days a week. I wish I could run, but I don't have a jogging stroller for my 3 year old..just a regular one which sucks for running.  And I don't really wanna fork over 100$+ when he's 3.  Seems like I wouldn't get enough use out of it.  Anyway....I also have a goal of doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred M-F with weekends off.

So far so good.  My goal is 135lbs.

I'm so happy to be able to join this club, since I just reached the 150's last week and am maintaining so far.  I just reached 159 last week, which is the first time I've seen this weight in about 2 years at least.  At times I have felt like I would never see this weight range again.  But ultimately my goal is 135 to start with.  I am age 30 and 5"5".  So I'm very happy to join this club today and hope to keep incrementally inching my way down through the 150's.  CC has been extremely helpful for me.

Hi everyone!!  I'm glad to see that there are others out there with similar stats... hopefully we can help each other get through the 150's and closer to our goals!

Hannah - As far as any tips, all I can say is that if you're dilligent and stick to your daily calories and eat healthy, that is most important.  If you can exercise at least a few times a week, that will definitely help you too.  Another thing I do is I drink a ****load of water and tea!  I love the little packets of Lipton Green Tea (0 calories & all different flavors) that you add to the water bottles.  I always take a 24 ounce bottle wherever I go and then I just refill it and add tea the rest of the day.  I have to use the bathroom all the time, but I definitely think it helps.

Wildflowers - Congrats on the 159!  I know exactly how you feel... I can't remember the last time I saw a number in the 150's on the scale!  Feels good, doesn't it?

Wink

Tracy - It's a shame the other thread seems to be abandoned.  Oh well, I guess we've got a new 150's club going now!  Congrats on the great progress so far!

Hi! I am 22, 5'7" and weigh 150lbs. I have been on CC for a while now but havent lost anything as I always seem to slip back to my old habits. But I have decided TODAY IS THE DAY! I am going to get serious and (hopefully) get down to my target of 130lbs. Going to the gym tonight to kick-start!

Oh and by the way, does anyone know how to change the measurments from metric (eg. kgs) to lbs?

Hi Walamanda!  We're the same height, but you're about 8-9 pounds lighter than me.... I can't wait until I'm at 150, *sigh*.  As for changing the measurements... I think if you go into your "my home" section and select "edit options", then go down to your calorie target and next to it should be an option to "get advice"... click on that and then it should give you an option to change the measurements.

I went shopping this afternoon for some new pants and ended up buying four new dressy shirts and two nice pairs of pants... oh, and a new pair of cute heels.  :)  I tried a few things on that I normally wouldn't and they ended up looking great on me, so I bought them.  I was sooo excited because I am down a couple of sizes now!  yay!!!  It felt so good to have to go and get a smaller size of pants because the first pair I grabbed were too big!  I really needed to get some new clothes though because everything I have is too loose and it looks like I have droopy drawers, lol.  My husband is happy too and is loving the new clothes!  Wink

Hello! I just turned 26.  I'm 5'6.5" and weigh around 153lbs.  I started my new lifestyle on February 15th 2007 and came down from 178lbs.  My ideal weight is 129, but I think I'll probably want to settle in and maintain at around 130-135.  I do cardio 7x a week for 1 hour, and my consistency is now starting to backfire... I feel a major plateau coming on.

I'm so happy to meet all of you!

Hi nzm102!  It's good to see another person with similar stats!  Congrats on getting down to 153!  I hope to be there soon!  Wow, your ideal weight is 129??  I was told by cc that my healthy weight is 143.  I'm shooting for that as of right now, but I have a feeling I'll still want to go a little lower than that.  Well, it's good to meet you!!  :)

Hi, this is great! I'm 5'8'', 21 yrs and 152.5. Really want to get back to around 130, damn that university lifestyle! How many cals do you guys eat to lose? I find that if I eat much more than 1300 then the losing stops, even though I go to the gym and do yoga 4-5 times per week!

Hi All!!

This is sooo good i didnt think there was a 150 group anywhere!!!! I just weighed in this morning at 152lbs so yay cause I had been stuck on 154lbs for weeks and it was driving me crazy :) Oh and Im 21 From Ireland and 5'6" and my ultimate goal would be 135lbs so if i keep up my work hopefully i will get there but it seems so tough to break the 150 mark!!!
Hello all!  Expect me here in 9.5 more pounds!  I should accomplish it in about a month if things turn out right.

Hi everyone!  I'm new to this site.  I've been a member for a week.  I love it!  And finding a group like this makes it even better!  I'm 5'9" and my weight fluctuates between 151-149.  I would love to get down to about 135.  I've been this height since about the 6th grade and have had an obsession with carbs my whole life, so my weight has always been a struggle for me.  I love being active.  On a good week I do an hour of cardio 4-5 times a week and I average about 1200-1400 calories a day.  My real problem is motivation.  If I start the week not going to the gym or eating badly, the rest of the week is a lost cause.  Hopefully this group will help with that!

Hi blairbrown22, yeh i have similar problems with motivation. I tend to feel if ive ruined a day by eating something i shouldnt i give up for the next couple days, and dont stick to my diet. I have found the longer i go without giving in to temptation the easier it becomes. Now i have started to see results from my healthy eating, that in itself motivates me. I've had a really good week this week, which has been a bit of a struggle as i am revising for exams at the moment, and normally i tend to pig out on chocolate while i am working, but i havnt!! So I'm happy!!! Anyone got any more motivation tips for me?

Thanks!!!! Def gonna try those teas! I get sooo bored of water on its own!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone that I missed since my last post... HI & welcome!!!  Wow, I am amazed at how many of us are all so similar.  We can all encourage each other and try to keep everyone on track.  I am definitely motivated to get under 150 lbs... seeing how my clothes fit and how my body is looking is what keeps me going (even though I used to be such a junk food junkie - anything with sugar & I'd be eating it, lol).  Having a healthier lifestyle definitely pays off.

tigerleaf - I started out eating around 1400 calories, but now since I've lost more weight I've had to drop down to about 1200 so that I'll keep losing.  I'm really hoping that I don't reach a plateau pretty soon... haven't yet *crossing fingers*.

I weighed myself this morning (I do every Tues.) and last week I was 158.6.  Today I am 156.6, so I lost 2 lbs. this week.  Yay!!   :)

Have a good day everyone!!
