I starte at 155 with a goal of 140/45...today I'm at 152. This used to be easier when I was younger! I learned that I must make this a life style which will mean 3 to 6 months before I fully develop new habits. Just have to keep at it. I joined Curves and that truly motivates me. I love the quick workout and seeing other people who don't have perfect bodies!
When I was 180 I told myself I'd be perfect at 140 Now that I'm pretty damn close to it, 138 I want to get down to 115. I think That for my hight 5'2 I would be perfect.
My mini goal is 146 - 140 by my sons birthday, april 20th..

I at 146 down from 148 last monday trying for 120. I'm 5 feet nothing and was  in the 90's before kids and 25 years ago so I think 120 will do just fine.  My new moto is I don't have to deprive myself of what I like, I have to stop gorgingon it.
I started at 155.  Now am 151 and my first goal is 145 by valentines day and my final goal is 135 by graduation on May 19th.

Hi all - This is my first time posting.  Good job to everyone that has gotten down to the 150's/140's.  The fact that you are even on this site and posting is a sucess.

My story is as follows:
I'm at 150 right now.  I started out at 170 back in May and by just watching my portion size and increasing my exercise - I was able to loose 20 pounds without too much effort.  I never thought that would happen.  I actually wasn't even trying.  I joined a spinning class because I thought it would be fun...and not only is it fun, but it's a fantastic workout and a great way to make new friends.

Anyways - I actually got down to 145, but gained 5 pounds back over the holidays - oh joy.  At the moment - my personal goal is to get down to 140 by June.  that's not too much to ask, is it?  I'm having a little trouble getting motivated though.  I seem to have a major case of the munchies that just won't go away.

My advice to people is eat what you want - just watch how much of it.  Reading some of these posts ( in this and other forums) - I can't imagine living on the food that some people eat (raw veggie's, boiled eggs, crackers, 2 pieces of toast, etc).  I eat and drink anything I want because quite frankly - I like food too much to give the good stuff up.

My goal of the day:  to not eat that 2nd slice of pizza for lunch that is calling my name.  Maybe calling myself out on it on this post will help.

Hi all - just joined this morning - what an amazing site!

I got weighed at the doctor's on monday and was a whopping 157lbs.  At 5"2 that's way too high a number for me.  My weight had always fluctuated, but never to that high.  I used to be 120, then I switched to a desk job in August 2005 and put on the pounds fast! My goal is to be back to 120 by October.  My problem is an addiction to chocolate and bread...I could eat a bag of croissants in a sitting!  Since Tuesday, I have really been watching what I eat (successful so far this week) and start a walking regime tonight.  Looking forward to losing! Good luck to you all!

I think something that really helps is tracking my meals in advance.

Tonight is pizza night and I love veggies the thin crust veggie pizza from pizza hut is only 170 cal per slice ! I have room for 3 slices !!!!
i'm 156 working towards 140-135.  It's working.  I was 171 in December 21
You all are so amazing.  I thank you so much for posting.  Its great to see all of you making goals and working towards them.  I started Sunday at 151.  I weighed myself today.  I have lost 2 pounds this week. I about died.  Portions was a big part and big goal was No Pop what so ever.  Dr. Pepper queen here let me tell ya.   Headache for 3 days. HAHA!  I figure now anything is possible.  9 more to go baby!  Kept up the great work and keep posting.

Hi I just saw the remarks on the weight loss and I thought I was the only one struggling to lose the weight! I just found this site a few days ago and it has been a mirror to my weight loss. Before the holidays I weighed in at 142 pounds ( at 5'8). Now I weigh 148, it was upsetting because my goal is 130 by August. But I realize I wasnt eating right, skipping breakfast and even eating late lunches with no exercise. Now I am back on tracking eating healthy no skipping breakfast and exercising 3 times weekly..It gets a little disappointing to lose weight so slowly...I am imspired because you all seem to be doing well, keep up the good work.
hey everyone- this group pretty much sums up my situation- i am currently at 152 and working towards 140- or 135.  I am 5'8'' and I work out daily by doing atleast 45 minutes of cardio (either running, eliptical, biking) one of those.. and then I lift weights 2-3 times a week, upper and lower body. I know I have muscle and i know that it weighs more than fat, BUTTTTTTTTT (and this is capitalized with years of frustration), i want to weight less and be more confident with my body. I am constantly thinking about my weight and looking at other girls wishing i was their size.. and i know i would be a happier, and more confident person if i could slim down a bit. so.. anyone else looking to lose about 10-15 lbs? I would honestly like to have a few ppl to talk with on here instead of writing only on the forums. it'd be nice to have someone to vent with or talk about how we did with our calories and stuff-

georgieann or anyone else in that range/loss desire... interested??
i just wanted to congradulate everyone on their weight losses! I cannot wait to be able to tell you guys about my weight loss, even if it is only a pound! keep up the hard work everyone and lets start with a

fresh week!!!
Hi Grande1 I'm 5'8.  I am trying to loose 11 pounds I actually already lost 2 last week.  Down to 149 now. I have weight trained I did this for 3 months a year ago.  I counted calories as well.  I lost 20 pounds and 18 inches.  I maintained 151 for a year.  I am now back on here again to get down to 140 and I am starting weight training again in a week.    It all works.  Talk to me anytime.
I'm 151 pounds, goal is 128 pounds.

Only started this week, so no changes on the scales yet (none that I'd trust, anyway!)
Hello ev1,

I just started this program and am pleased to see that there are a lot of people in the same boat as I am.  I'm at 145 trying to get back down to 130 (pre-kid weight).  I also have a high school reunion that I will be attending at the end of this year.  My goal so far is to lose at least 5-7 lbs by the middle of March and then lose the rest by October.  Good luck to ev1.
144 ... wanting to be about 120-123 pound.

Which was round about my weight before I my clinical depression took hold more than ever, started over-eating, got bullied about my weight (when I wasn't fat, I had just developed quicker than kids my age usually do) etc.
