Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...

I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.

Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....

Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Good morning and have a great day all!

Hi pooh!

I had to drag myself to the bike last night (its in my basement on a trainer), but after 30 minutes, I was so glad I did! Cheated a bit on the fried potatoes my daughter made :) oh well! Today is a new day! I am going to work out with my cheerleading squad today, so that will be lots of fun! We all work harder when we work together!

Goal:No fried anything today!

Dee
Hello

Good day so far, walked on Hampstead Heath as the sun finally shone this afternoon and the wind dropped for a few hours.   Blew away some cobwebs and spin class tonite.   No class since Saturday as too many commitments and one class was cancelled.

Nothing like a walk on a hill to cheer me up.

Havent planned dinner, but been out all day - soup and a slice of bread for lunch - no idea how many calories in it.   But asked in Starbucks how many cals in a 'skinny' muffin - only..... wait for it.....325!! so I said no of course.

Caused hilarity in the line - everyone started to ask about cals and most things were less than the 'skinny' muffins!!

Have a good day

Hello!  I just hit 159 today, and then my work threw me a going away party where I managed to eat only two bbq chicken wings(which is two more than I'd planned on eating).

anyway, just saw that this post was called 150's group, and I'm just so excited to see that number again.
I'm 154- and happy to be in a 150's group (though I hope to leave it ASAP).

I'm having a great day and feeling lots of good motivation vibes.  I love this time of the year where you feel like you can have a fresh start!

Hi to everyone here! GO 150's!!
149 this am - amazing results for the first week, three pounds off and not even Monday.

I still can barely believe that eating more, but eating right and counting every bite has made such a difference.

Ill stay with the 150's until this is stabilised, as I still dont quite believe it.....
Congratulations!!!

I can't wait to see that number...it's been a while.

Keep it up!

You just motivated me...thanks!
It's Friday! Usually on the weekend I am a bit more relaxed with watching my calories. My goals for today:

1. Drink two more big bottles of water

2. Eat a good healthy dinner instead of the chicken wings I usually have on Fridays

3. Get on my bike for 30 minutes

4. Pamper myself with an eyebrow wax--they look like caterpillars! lol!

Dee

And to ascotlady--congratulations to you dear!
Hello everyone.  I am now 158 lbs.  I started last sunday at 160lbs.  And I am so proud of myself....this morning after church, my fiance', his parents, and I went out for breakfast.  While they all had the greasy sausage, bacon, and pancakes.  I had fresh fruit, and whole wheat toast!  Their food looked mighty good, but I just kept thinking that If I want to lose weight, I have to eat healthy.. and I know that losing more weight will satisfy me waaayyy more than 10 minutes of enjoying food.

Well, I better get going, I am going to jog on my treadmill and then do my "core secrets" workout dvd!
HELLO ANYONE IN THIS GROUP OUT THERE?????  WHERE IS THE SUPPORT IN THIS GROUP????????????????????????????????????? GEEZ
Hello!  I weighed in today at 159.8 so I left my goodbye post to the 160's club and am joining you guys :)  Like vanenl I hope this group gets more active, because it really helps.
Awesome job ltlmsmfft!!!!!  We'll I guess you and I will have to motivate eachother because no one else talks!!  Thank Goodness you are here with me!!!
Hello all! I think that the reason for the low posting is sometimes we have things going on--no need to shout!

I'm am trying to adjust my daily menu to see if this helps boost my weight loss. It's not a fad, just making sure I eat enough (I am so busy, I find that I was at 1200/day and that is not healthy for my level of activity). It involves the usual, eating 6x/day, and making sure I have a balance of carbs/good fat/protein in each meal. I will let you know how it works!
vanel- I think that of the few 150's members there are, some may have made it to the 140's (looking at their #'s and dates), hopefully if you and I keep posting we'll be at the top of the list and may attract new active members that way :)

djrizzo- keep up the good work!  here's a tip to help you not miss a meal if you are super busy.  if you have a cell phone set the alarm for the time you should be eating your next meal after every meal.  the annoying beep beep beep will help remind you to stop and eat.  I stuggle with the same thing on busy days then tend to overeat when I do finally stop because I am starving!
Hi everyone

I am 153.6 today but have been gaining and losing the same three pounds for months.  I keep fluctuating from 155 to 153 and back - my chart is crazy and I hate this up and down.  My end goal is 145 but some days I feel lazy and think I am never going to make it.

I really want to reach my goal so I can feel like I accomplished something (ok I have lost about 60 pounds so far, so I know I have accomplished SOMEthing...).  I started losing weight to go on a trip to Mexico, and now that I have been and returned, I dont want that motivation to go away.  I need some new goals!!

I could use some support and encouragement to make it, and I know this is the place to get it!

Thanks!
Heather
Wow hchiddenton you are a real inspiration to me.  I starte 1/2 wks ago at 168 and am at 159.8 now!  I'm short (5 ft) so my goal is 110.  I find it helpful to plan my meals for the week and try to stick to the meal plan as best as I can also I write down how many times I will do cardio, stength training etc.  I mark off each time I exercise and compare how many days left I have in the week then plan accordingly.  You will reach 145!  Buy a pair of jeans that's just a smidgen too small and make a goal that you will fit in them like a glove!
Ahh, thanks ltlmsmfft... It is still strange to have people tell me I am an inspiration...  Because in my mind I still look the same as I did a year ago.  I know in reality that is not true, but the brain takes a while to catch up.

I looked at your profile - we are the same age!  I love pilates too, and it will be a year in march that I added that into my routine.  Pilates, weights, cardio and eating healthy choices has made all the difference in the world for me.

When I first started trying to loose weight, I kept a weight loss jorunal with all the foods I ate, cardio or exercise I did, and also how many steps per day (wore a pedometer everywhere!)  I think I need to start doing this again to keep myself accountable.  I use the food log here, but I think it helped keeping a written journal as well.  I also recorded measurements in there (scary #s at first!!) about every 3 or 4 months, but it has been a while since I did that.  Maybe I just need to start this all up again... ;)

I think I will start wearing my pedometer again, and set daily goals for # of steps.  I will try that for a week, starting tomorrow and see how it goes!
ltlmsmfft... we are about the same height give or take and inch or 2.  im 23 and right now i am at 155; everyday i go up and down. i dont snack and i have a set meal plan for the week which i stick to. i excercise everyday along with strength training; however im stuggling to lose a pound.  my pant have started fitting nicely but my weight is still the same. any pointers?
Hi everyone I've been having a bad month eating too much junk and feeling stinky about it, so I thought I'd join in to rejuvenate my enthusiasm. I hit 159 just before Christmas, and since then snuck back up to 161. I wanna be in the 150's again!! It was so exciting the day I hit that weight and I bought a pair of size ten pants for the first time EVER (well, I probably wore size ten when I was ten years old)
messam- well if you are doing strength training you are building muscle and you are loosing fat from cardio.  muscle weighs more than fat so you are probablly loosing the unwanted fat and gaining great looking muscles.  that's why your pants fit nicely.  can you give me an idea of what your average day's food looks like?  one thing you can do is drink several cups of green tea a day to boost your metabolism in a healthy way :)

philippajane--keep up the good work.  focus on how great it felt to be in a size 10.  as for the junk food try to use healthy alternatives like baked lays or doritos, healthy choice ice cream, no pudge brownies, weight watchers desserts.  measure out 1 portion and put it on your plate and eat only that much.  also use the food log, and log your food before eating it.  it really helps you to face what you are eating and make healthy choices :)

WE CAN  DO THIS!
well i know its not great.  im wake up at 6 and i drink a cup of coffee.  for lunch today i had some tuna and crackers. when i get home i will eat a graham cracker and drink some milk.. (daily routine with my daughter) and for dinner i am going to eat left over spaghetti.  oh yeah i drink about 80 -100 oz of water a day and i dont drink juice or soda. i just joined this site and my calories are always 1050 or lower
