150's group...daily updates
Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

ltlmsmfft - wow, 80 minutes of exercise, dont think i could do it lol.. and almost another lb lost, WTG :) i definitely have a love/hate relationship with my scale lol.. i swear i step on it everytime i go to the bathroom... its not like, oh i see it, better weigh myself.. its in our master bathroom, so i go out of my way to bypass the main bathroom to go to the master bathroom lol... cos i want to weigh myself.. haha.. then i get upset cos it says i weigh more (like, duh, i drink a LOT of water during the day, and eat food, of course its going to go up!!)
Dee - thanks :) just the fact that the shirt looks so good makes me feel great and i did tell someone :) You Guys :) hehe... and i cant wait for those pants to be falling off.. although.. all my pants are stretchy spandex/cotton mix, so they have a tendency to fit just fine lol... i only own like 1 pair of blue jean pants, and two pair of blue jean shorts lol... and very seldom wear any of em cos i was always soooo much more comfortable in my stretch pants.. but i did buy that pair of capris last month, so we will see if they start falling off :) as far as micro meals go, i hate to cook, so unless its easy i wont do it.. lol..

(speaking of which, emailed my hubby about how much water i am drinking, he was like "doesnt that make you feel bloated, i know it would me"... naw not really, not now that i have gotten use to how much i am drinking, and feeling better hydrated!!)

Good morning everyone. I don't have a weight to report today (yay!) but
I am VERY proud of myself.I had a super stressful day yesterday and I
didn't eat like I would normally. Usually if I'm stressed out I pig
out!
So here's my day yesterday...
Right as I was getting ready for work I walked into the kitchen so find that our sink had started working backwards and there was sewage all over the kitchen. Gross!!! I had to leave for work and I had my son with me so I really couldn't do much about it so I pulled out the driveway and I noticed my car was driving really bad. I got out and saw that I had a flat tire. My husband is in his busy time at work so he couldn't come to get me, and I could call off because I missed with a seriously injured dog. So I had to call my dad to pick me up and take me to work. Then my husband took me from work to school. When I got home and we cleaned up, fixed the plumping, threw away all the food in the kitchen and the carpet. Put on my new tire and by that time it was almost midnight. Neither my husband nor I had eaten dinner and he begged me to go to Mcdonalds. I got the grilled snack wrap. Grille chicken strip with cheese, lettuce and honey mustard wraped in the tortilla. Not my normal healthy dinner, but not bad for Mcdonald's either!

waterphoenix- way to go!!! i know how easy it is to give into temptaion after a day like you had. it will really pay off when you loose the next lb!
Great job waterphoenix! I don't know if I could have resisted a 1/4 pounder with cheese--that is my fave! Sounds like you handled yesterday like a trouper! Hope today goes smoother for you!
unicat--seriously--just lock the scale up somewhere! Have someone else do it so you don't know where they put it! lol! I just feel more relaxed with the scale tucked away--because my body fluctuates like MAAAD day to day. waterwaterwater...

drjrizzo... i dont know about u but the big mac is my favorite and i want one right now, but i have been so good that think im going to wait it out and maybe get some shrimp or sumthing after work.
my mom told me to try a neoprene belt along with my work out because it would help me lose more inches around my waist. Has anyone tried this?

messam--lol! Ok people, no sabotaging our good work with talk of big macs and 1/4 pounders1(even though I started it! :) lol!
Those neoprene belts will help support your lower back if you have problems, but otherwise they just make you sweat.

mmmmmmmm big macs... and even yummmier sounding is the quarter pounder with onions, swiss cheese and mushrooms.. i LOVE mushroom burgers but i have completely resisted the urge to go out and try mcdonalds ones :) yay me lol.. never heard of a neoprene belt... i do wear work out shorts that are made of some kind of material that really makes me sweat... (they were my husbands but i took em over since hes gone...) cant say as wether i have noticed them doing anything else besides making me sweat more lol..
well, did my tae bo, and i think i am slowly getting better at, not quite keeping up with them yet, and yes there are areas where i still have to stop and breath while they finish a set (or two) but i really think i am improving.. yay... then i drink a protein shake.. anyone know anything about this?? i want to keep from losing my lean muscle, should i drink a protein shake BEFORE i exercise or AFTER?? I am also trying to keep my protein level for the day up to a decent amount.. but i thought i read somewhere about getting protein either right before or after you exercise??

dee- lol well umm... i cant give up my scale.. lol. honestly.. haha.. besides i would have to get one of the kids to do it, since my husbands gone currently, and then i would be searching their rooms for it.. BUT I will make it my goal today to try not to go into the master bedroom unless i absolutely MUST,... and try to avoid the scale more than i normally do.. okay??

I have a 60 min gliding class tonight! Again I don't feel like going but, if I don't I'll be cursing myself when I anxiously step on my scale tomorrow morning. I have to figure out something to eat before my class as it starts at 7:00 and I don't want to eat afterwards. Hmm I guess I'll just go home and scarf down some cereal and toast. My mom just sent me apple butter, homeade by the amish! It's amazing. They really know how to cook.

I think you need a bit of glucose as well after you work out, because that is your primary fuel source--burn some, replace it, body won't think you are trying to starve it. I have to look that one up though...I follow a weight training diet, so I try to eat more protein anyway. It usually works out that I go over on my carbs...I love carbs!! No Atkins for me!

YAY MY HUSBANDS HOME!!!! he wasnt due back in til after valentines day .... yay... wont get to see him til tomorrow though.. :( and ooooooooops... there goes the "diet" ...... no really, i am going to try to stick to what i have been doing.. :) but i know if possible we will be going out to eat tomorrow :) just going to watch my portion size, etc.. and drink lots of water :) and watch what i eat before hand for the day :) yay i am soooooooooo excited :)
okay, planned out my food for tomorrow.. as long as i stick to what i planned i wont go toooo far over (only a couple hundred calories, maybe?? ) we will see... cross your fingers for me... the hardest part will be the bread... but if i can just maintain my weight for the day i will be happy.. dont want to put anything more on... but want to enjoy my evening with my hubby :) IF we get to go out... :)
unicat- where are you going for dinner??? remember it's all about choices. you can choose healthy foods and if you really want some dessert let your hubby order it and just take one or two bites. if he refuses order it then you can. still only take one or two bites then grab the katchup bottle, open it and close your eyes then quickly before you can talk yourself out of it cover it in katchup!

Today is friday, and typically my good intentions fly out the window as soon as I'm done at work! So, I always get wings on friday, but I will really try to watch myself saturday, but then there is the Superbowl on sunday--ugghh! Maybe I will just do the best I can and start fresh Monday! lol!

3. If you must.... limit yourself to two drinks
4. Do at least 40 min of cardio just before you go.
5. After you eat your own healthy food and see the other stuff staring back at you- remind yourself that you are full and worked your but off just before you got there and don't want to ruin all the hard work.
6. If that doesn't work scan the room and look at what everyone else looks like who is shoveling the high fat foods into their mouths.

morning all :) just got up, weighed myself... no change.. i am hoping this is fat loss, and muscle gain evening themselfs out :) i sure am starting to feel the muscles in my calfs and thighs.. :)... i did pretty good staying off the scale most of yesterday... dont know how i will do today, but will try...
thanks for all the dinner advice guys... i know its all about choices, but when i go out to dinner i consider it a treat... we will be going to an italian restaurant.. i plan on getting my chicken parmigiana, but splitting it in half with my daughter... and if i had the bread basket brought out with dinner my family would throw a fit.. they love their garlic rolls... as do i... gonna have them bring me ice cold water to drink instead of tea (although i dont think the tea is that bad for me, i always use like sweetnlow or splenda to sweeten it) and will make sure i drink the water before and during my meal to help keep me fuller feeling... am also thinking if we eat early enough i will see if hubby wants to go for a walk with me after .... add a little bit of exercise in to burn a bit more calories??

opinion needed.. should i do my tae bo again today (its what i did yesterday, normally i would do my ddr today)... it burns 200 more calories then the ddr will??? but it will also work my muscles more??
