Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...

I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.

Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....

Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Good morning and have a great day all!

Well it's weigh in day again and I am down to 155.5 which is a 3 pound loss in a week.  I think it's because I have been sick.  I have a horrible cold which seems to b getting just a little better.  I am trying to eat enough calories but I have been coming up short on some days.  Oh well I wont complain I just hope I don't gain the 3 pounds back once I feel better.

Happy Monday Everyone

HI everyone. I went on vacation this week. That meant eating vacation food. Yuck! But amazingly, I still lost a pound and am now 156.6.  It must have been all the walking. But as soon as I came back I made whole-wheat-oatmeal-chocolate-chip cookies. They were too yummy to resist so I'm upping my kilometers this week.

How are you all?

As of Monday 12/24 I was 154 lbs.  So I lost a little since the last weigh in report.  I am not even going to step on the scale this morning!  X-mas dinner was just tooo GOOOD! Smile

I am glad the holiday season is almost over.  It's getting harder to resist all those goodies.

Hey ladies.

Christmas vacation food, not good.  For some reason right now its harder than ever for me to stay motivated.  I was so disciplined for so long.  I feel like I cut myself more slack more often now than ever.  I guess the christmas cookies have to go in the trash.  I think I made a valiant effort in trying to eat them.

I'm 138 this morning.  I know that I should be in a different forum, but the ladies here are always so supportive that its hard for me to go elsewhere.

Either way I hope everyone had a lovely holiday and new year :)  Here's to 2008 being a delightful year! :)

Stay motivated ladies!!! The holidays are past us and now is the PERFECT time to get back on track! We can do this!!!!!
Hello everyone! I have been at 158.5 for the last three weeks now and would like to get down to 120 pounds. My starting weight was 172 and I had been in the 160s forever. It feels good to see the scale read what it does. I just wish I could get past 158.5.

It is nice to be in the 150s group now!

Time to see who's still in the 150's!?

I'm 153lbs. and feeling really great about it but I'm having a hard time getting motivated to exercise.

Quick question... what are your goal weights and/or bmi's?

Leeser, I see your goal weight is 120. How tall are you? The 160's were tough for me too.

Hi there... I am back in the 150's just bearly... but I am here. My goal for the year is to make it to the 140's... I want to loose 10lbs this year.   I was wondering... for a 5'6.5", 24 year old is that goal not ambitious enough.  I have had some major ups and downs in the past four years and I am worried that I could swing out of control again.  But the 150's feels good.
alittlehelphere,
I think the 140s is attainable for your height.
I'm in the mid 150s at 5'6" and hoping to get to 140lb in the next few months.

Yep I agree, I am 5'7" and aiming for 140, so I think you will be safe aiming for 140.

I have not really been counting calories the last few weeks or working out at all.  I am just calling it the winter blues!  I have been watching what I eat and trying not to stuff myself and have managed to lose about 1 lb a week.  I am currently down to 152, I have lost 20.5 lbs.

My goal for the week is to get back to counting calories and back to walking.

 Happy Monday Everyone!

sunnydog,
I've been losing about a lb a week also. I found that indulging a few times a week is a large pay off instead of overeating. I take a few bites of a treat or a moderate serving instead. This has helped me this month. My goal is to reach 152 by the end of the month and reach the 140s in february. I can't wait.
foxylady, I'm 5'4 1/4" (when you're short, every quarter of an inch counts!). According to the BMI calculators, 120 would still put me at an ideal BMI but I don't know if that's too low, for me anyway. Maybe it's just intimidating because I have a long way to go still! :)

My original goal was 155 (from 176) but now that I'm here I don't feel much different. I think we can all get into the 140's this year. :)

Is there a 140's group yet? I wonder who of us will be the first there???  I'm thinkin' you sunnydog98.  :)  Save me a place.

p.s.  I need somebody to hide all the chocolate in my house.

speaking of chocolate, i came across a great snack idea that incorporates chocolate and I don't feel guilty about eating all of it:

one package of Oreo thin crisps from a 100 calorie pack
one banana

slice bananas and sandwich them between the thin crisps. it is SO good and my new favorite snack!
Hey Everyone! Looks like there hasn't been a post for a few days so I might as well start her up again! Well I found Calorie count like a year and a half ago, lost a good 7 lbs and then slowly faded off of it. I found myself to forget to log my foods, and by the time I thought of going on again it was 3 days later. At that time I weighed 148. Today I am at 156 ish.. ha (we all know how that "ish" goes) and I have felt so crappy about my body lately. This past year I graduated from college, got a job, got married, bought a house, and now bought a new puppy. I have never had this many changes in my life, which I think may be the reason that I have gained so much weight.

I am very athletic, meaning I work out hard 6-7 days a week. I lift weights 2-3 times a week, including 45-60 minutes of cardio each day. I feel this is a good amount of exercise... does anyone have any advice or opinion on the amount of exercise I do? Maybe I should be doing more, maybe I do too much- who knows.

My problem is that I eat too much- especially sweets. If I have any sweets around in my house, you can almost bet that I will be eating a bite here, a bite there, and eventually giving in and eating 2-3 servings. I cannot stand having sweets around because I just want to eat eat eat.

My goal is to lose the extra pounds (around 16 lbs) and to get to my goal weight of 140. A part of me wants to say "no sweets" but I have tried that before and it doesn't work. So I guess my new goal will be to log my foods and try to stay at or below 1500 calories.

I would be interested in emailing ppl or becoming "calorie count" buddies. Let me know!

Elli, hi, welcome.

I had such an aweful weekend. I ate till I was stuffed and drank like a fish. The scale reflects it too.  I haven't had this big of a gain since I started cc.   :(

Atleast I'm still in the 150's, but I'm sooooo sad.

Let's kick it up a notch this week.  Except you Elli, I think that much working out, unless you're an pro athlete may have you on a plateau. I would suggest taking a little time off, then resuming your normal workout.

As for my gluttonous behind, no more baaaad foods. Clean eating challenge.

I'm resurrecting the old 150s group, if only for a moment. Anyone out there from before, or are you all in the 140s group now! Ha! Not me! I think I'm a lifer here.
