Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Just got done trying on tons of clothes i bought today in front of hubby. We have a business trip down to naples florida in a few weeks and it's "resort casual" so i had to go shopping. my summer clothes are always shot by the end of the season since i spend most of it on my hands and knees in the garden. I splurged at Banana republic and gap...yippee. but I was trying on this pair of black cropped pants in a 10 (they didn't have a 12) and they fit but I got a little muffin thing going on when i wore them w/a tighter fitting shirt. Hubby kept asking me if they were comfortable...hint, hint...So those are going back along with a few sweaters from banana and gap pair of pants. I was happy i found a few outfits...lucky me, hubby really loved all the full price clothes so he didn't care that i spent all the money. :)
Still wish my boobs were smaller and my belly flatter, but i'll keep working at them. I just wanted to go and not be his full figured wife. i feel pretty good in the stuff i bought today.

a ten :) awesome :) and maybe in a few weeks when you get ready for this business trip you might wanna go back and get em again lol.. maybe the muffin top will be goooooooooooooneeeeeeee...... :) lol. the shirt i bought for my capris is just a kinda tank top looking shirt thats loose fitting and has a built in bra lol.. i have not tucked in a shirt since i was 16.... lol... and i am not real comfortable wearing tight tops just yet.. lol.. glad you found some outfits you like and hubby didnt mind :) and that you feel good in them.. :) and yay, no wine tonight.. :) drink that water.. its good for ya :)
Good morning...I guess I'll be sticking airborne in my water today...One son has a bellyache which means he couldn't play hockey which threw the whole morning into chaos. We have 3 sons that play hockey of course all at different times and places....so bellyache boy couldn't go but hubby still had to go because he coaches...5 yr old missed it because it was early and we were in the chaos and couldn't logistically pull it off and 10 yr old didn't want to go in anyone else's car...so I called and said he was not feeling well so he's home. I'm manager for his team so hubby had to drop off all the game stuff at someone else's house...now I'm sitting w/my decaf coffee wishing it had some caffeine. Got very choppy sleep last night. Think I'll be crashing early tonight.
Hubby said i should go shopping again today to get the shorts and t's i need for the trip...told me to take the day off...he's a dream. imagine that, a man who tells you to go shopping. life is good. Now if I could keep away from the candy :) Off to the kitchen to try not to eat the half eaten bagels the boys have left on the counter. take one bite and throw it out......

morning Laurie - hope your son feels better quick, and hope you dont get sick... and wow, thats a lot of hockey lol... yay go do some more shopping :) funny, my husband would tell me that, but i am the adult in the family that doesnt like shopping haha.. and its okay to take off from working out... although it may make you feel better energy wise... but be good with the food... and rest up :)

Oh I'm here! I had a lot of reading to catch up on! Alas, I know exactly what a muffin top is, since I sport one myself. It is slightly less than it was the beginning of Jan, but it's still there. I had my chicken wings last night (it is just my friday ritual--and really this place makes THE best wings anywhere!) but I think I came in even on the cals in/cals out--does anyone know how to look at yesterdays log that includes your expediture? I can add food and see the cals in, but I can't see my expenditure.
So, since I was a bad girl last night ;) I did 30 minutes on the bike and 30 min of conditioning! Yay! I'm still pissed at my scale, so I don't know if I'm going to step on it today--also its that time of the month and it's gonna be goofy anyhow!

hey dee i dont know how to look back on a day to see that... but to see todays if you just click on account it will show you todays food log and expenditure... (thats a good thing about planning your meal the day before) along with your weight chart... yay on the 30 min bike and 30 min conditioning :) and i wouldnt step on the scale now either if its that T.O.M. cos i am sure it will be goofy lol.. get that water down, and STEP AWAY FROM THE BEER :p
i truly didnt feel like doing ddr this morning, so i did about 18 minutes of ab exercises on my crossover, and maybe later i will feel like doing the cardio.. we will.. may also take a look at the elliptical part of my crossover, see if i can get it working right....
anyhow gonna shower... and get my daily housework done... get my kids motivated on getting their rooms done, ha...

okay so i have been in a blah bummed out mood all day.. i think its because i didnt exercise this morning... and i had basically given up...i ate some veggies as a snack, but ate some dip with it too.. so i have reworked my food log for today.. taken out some snack items i had set up to keep my caloric intake up... and replaced it with 4 servings of veggie dip...(approx 4 tbsp.. i dont actually know how much i ate.. cos i was dipping brocolli and celery in it.. ).. and i went for a walk with the kids... i also tried to figure out whats wrong with my elliptical.. i think the sensor on the flywheel is messed up, so it doesnt register when it goes around... so am still unable to use it.. okay so with reworking my food log, and trying to get a little exercise in (i am still going to try for ddr in about a half hour from now, maybe just play it with my son, so its fun, not work)... my caloric intake for the day is...total calories consumed 1551... and my total burned calories is 1880.. (thats including my normal calorie expenditure of 1662 where they get that number i dont know, lol...) so thats still a deficit of 329... if i get in that ddr it will be better... (i also ate half a 3 muskateer)... so i am trying to be optimistic about the day not being completely shot...
also..(i know this is long, sorry)... i had my son measure my height.. 3 times, lol.. cos i would of sworn i was 5'5" but his measurement of me kept coming up as 5'6"... sooooooooo i had to refigure my allowance and my expenditure amounts (which are the same anyway), but when i did my bmi i was amazed at the change... it dropped my BMI down a whole .7 :) which comes up as :

I'm 153 now!! Down two pounds...I don't know if I believe the scale, but the scale has been mean the last 3 weeks and kept me at the same weight forever, and sometimes it even went up to 157, so I think it's right. Yesterday I slipped a little and had a beer, two Smirnoff twists and two shots of rum. UGH. My alchoholic intake only happens every other week though, I usually don't overdrink....My BMI went down to 24.7, so I need to get to 24, but it used to be 25! Congrats Unicat! Hopefully both of us can be out of the 150s by March!

welllllllllllll apparently what i did yesterday worked out in the end :) lost that half a lb i had gained back :) i did play ddr with my son for about an hour, of which i only did every other song... but we had fun doing it :) trying to stay on track today... might go to the pool with the kids and one of my neighbors and her kids :) lol.. she thinks i should wear my bikini, i think shes nuts lol... hope everyone is having a great weekend...

Bad day today...cleaning like a madwoman...but have not made smart food choices so far. I'm going to fess up and log it and try like hell to behave the rest of the day. My parents are coming for the weekend and of course I cooked up a storm...Now I have to keep away from it. Staying off the scale until Monday and right now I'm going to fess up to what I ate and try to keep it up the rest of the day. Wish me luck

laurie, i know just how you feel.. but you are right, monday is another day :) and adding your 2 hours of cleaning isnt desperate, as long as its not included in your daily stuff you do... i am set at sedentary, because most days i find i dont do a whole lot (thats why i am always here, lol.. ), so when i do spend more then the normal time cleaning, i do add it in, along with whatever daily exercise i do, like taebo, or ddr.. or even walking up to the store... if you dont normally clean for two hours then you are burning more calories then you normally do :)
good luck having your parents in for the weekend.. lol.... i'm glad mine havent come to visit us during the 10 months we have been stationed here, cos i love my moms cooking, and i find when she is here she is the one that does 90% of the cooking lol..
i got through my ddr today.. had to push myself through the last bit of it, because as i lose weight i have to do more of it to burn the 300 calories.. ugh, lol... but i did it, so yay me :) oh, havent decided if we are going to the pool yet, but after my shower i did try on my bikini that i have never worn.. lol.. it doesn look bad, but i still have these rolls (i dont even know if you would call them rolls anymore.. they are more like hangy things of fat and skin?? lol, okay so they are rolls, especially when i sit down lol.. ) and the bikini bottom is actually a bit gappy (is that a word??) to the point i have to fidget with it, to try to cover my hangy stuff in front, and its baggy in back, lol.. is that understandable?? lol.. and i still have this slight roll on my back (under my bra line?? you know the one??) that i am too self conscious of... so i wont be wearing it, lol.. maybe if i find some black board shorts or something like that to go with the top, i might consider it one day, but i am not ready for it, lol..

I know that roll...i fondly referred to it as the back fat roll last night when I was once again trying on more clothes for the hubby for the shopping spree. Ending up deciding on a dress I've had for a while that is more conservative than the others...Hubby said I looked elegant...loved that. He likes the understated look. He was once again happy with the purchases and said to be comfortable so I can relax and enjoy myself...lucky lucky me.
Okay...finished cleaning and took a shower...couldn't resist the scale...it's not as bad as I thought. Hey everyone, I hope you had a good day! The scale today said 151 pounds...WEIRD. I was 153 yesterday and 155 at the beginning of the week. I must have checked during a bad time back then or something. I pulled a muscle today though and I could only walk for 20 minutes instead of running 2 miles like usual. Grr. Walking made it hurt worse, so I should have stayed off it completely. Hopefully these things heal quickly though over sleep :)
