Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

hello everyone. i had a crappy weekend and know i've gained weight because i've been sick :( i only did very light aerobics on sat and sun and nothing on fri. i also ate more than usual because whenever i have a cold i am literally starving all the time until i am better. ohhhh and i had a big cheat for me. i went out to eat and ate well except...... i put real honey mustard dressing on my salad. they didin't have anything fat free and i just couldn't resist a salad. one thing i am proud of is that i have not weighed myself all weekend. i've decided not to weigh in for 2 weeks to keep from becoming discouraged. i know that in 2 weeks i can take off whatever i may have gained and then some.
so i am going back on my enzyme diet. it's made by a company called ecoquest. you drink 2 meal replacement shakes a day chock full of enzymes which help to speed your metabolism and replace the lack of enzymes in our food today. i also like their fruit and fat burner bars so i will use one of those a day for snacks and then a sensible dinner. oh and an am snack of fruit/juice as well. i've done this before and it works really well. it's kinda expensive but it's really good for you.

NEWAY.... i got my SI6 on friday and was so excited!!i went for a run on saturday and got right into the start it up section.. it was ok so decided the next day i was going to move on to the Ramp It UP! section.... PAIN i tell u PAIN!!! a good pain i must say though. i still feel sore in my legs and abs... instead of doing the resistance band i used my 5 lbs weights and they worked so well. if i incorporate this into everything that im doing now (IE: running:everyday and Lifting weights: tuesday and thursday) i should be good in no time right. i dont think im going to weigh myself until friday, because seein the same weight everytime i get on it is going to make me throw it out the window..
* I have heard that "patience is a virtue"*... well I dont think i posess this quality so this weight needs to start do a serious disappearing act.

Don't feel bad ltlmsmfft. I don't think you should worry about your weight when you're not feeling well. Just wait until your body has healed. Sounds like you're taking good care of yourself. Congrats on not weighing yourself while sick - that just seems mean!
Had a good weekend, but sort of worried about valentine's day. However, I've been to 2 restaurants and not binged recently, so my confidence is up! Lost half a pound over the weekend. 157, but very close to the 156's!

ltlmsmfft - great job on staying off the scale all weekend, and i hope u are feeling better today.. good luck with that enzyme diet, hope its healthy too... dont want you starving yourself..

okay so does everyone have those mornings where they wake up feeling decidedly thinner/fatter?? or is it just me?? lol.. this morning i woke up feeling great and feeling thinner.... lol.. although the scale only says i lost half a lb.. :) so going to do my taebo this morning, so am thinking the scale will prob go up tomorrow morning.. am hoping thats muscle.. but maybe it will drop and i will lose fat and gain muscle at the same time :)

unicat- i have those skinny feeling days too! it's such a great feeling.
lol, yes it is... now if i can get past my neighbor irking me... ugh.. she is suppose to drive our kids to school and i pick them up.. i schedule my workout for right after she leaves with my daughter, but for the last month, she has text me at least twice a week for one reason or another asking me to take the kids... which throws me off completely.. and today is one of those days, so my good mood just went a little downhill.. ugh... gotta get my daughter moving and go warm up the car a little bit so i dont have to worry about my son being cold on the ride there.. then i guess i will come home and do my taebo a little bit late.. ugh..
unicat- i have family members a-lot like your neighbor. you kinda have to be tough with them. if it was me i would do one of two things.
option 1- be honest and say hey we need to talk. you may not relize this but you are asking me to take the kids to school almost twice a week and that's not what we agreed on. i plan my day around our schedule and it causes a-lot of problems for me when you do this (no need to elaborate) i really need you to stick to our agreement or i'm going to have just take my kids to and from school each day myself. (she will probably get her but in gear for fear of having to do the same if you wont take her kids home anyomre)
option 2- just lie. tell her you have business to take care of and simply can't do it or you just took some medication that makes you groggy and can't drive or you've just put hairdye in your hair and must wash it out in 30 minuts or whatever other creative scenario you can come up with.
with my family i literally had to stop watching their kids for them at night because they would say oh we'll be home by 10:00 then 10:30 would roll around and i'd be calling them and they'd say oh we're on our way home and after several more calls they would show up at 1:00 am and i'd still have to get my son home and to bed! i'm not the only family member who had to say no to them because they can't stick with an agreement. it's very selfish behavior.

oh i agree completely, its just been going on since her husband left for school, its like hes not here to get her up and going, so she doesnt all the time... and they are moving back to the mainland within the next 60 days of so... so i understand shes going through a lot of stuff right now trying to get the house ready by herself... and i dont mind, it just annoys me sometimes, especially when she calls five minutes before they are due to leave, so i have to get dressed in real clothes or go in my workout clothes, and wake my 3 yr old... i will prob just deal with it, til they leave... i'm not good with confrontation, and dont like arguing with people.. lol.. besides shes a great friend otherwise...
I agree with ltlmsmfft-just let her know you understand she has a lot going on since she is moving, so you are going to take care of driving YOUR own kids to and from school. Put that way, it will sound like you are helping her out--and maybe she will get her butt in gear. Remember--we deserve to be treated the way we want--and that includes treating ourselves to a healthy body. Treat yourself to a healthy friendship unicat--she is taking advantage of you.

Oh THAT! Lol! Last time I weighed myself it said 155--but I didn't update my ticker because I'm convinced my scale is out to terrorize me! lol! I will get on the stupid thing tomorrow morning and update the ticker--CLEARLY I do not have a healthy relationship with my scale! lol!

lmao dee, i think mines out to terrorize me too.. lol.. good luck on the 60 min cardio... i looked at my elliptical over the weekend (note the word LOOKED lol), and for the life of me cant figure out whats wrong with the dang thing, as a last resort i am going to try to clean the sensor on it, and hopefully that will fix it, but gotta have the gumption to get up and take the dang thing apart (didnt have rubbing alcohol when i took it apart over the weekend)... i guess if that doesnt fix it i will have to find out how much a new sensor is going to run me.. ugh...
I usually weigh myself as I am heading out the door in the mornings, which means that I am dressed and sometimes the fluctuations are due to wearing different clothing. I know its not a perfect system but I dont want to change it now a year into it...
Anyway this morning I weighed myself and it said 154.6! AHH! Then I realized I was wearing long underwear and an undershirt under my work clothes because it is SO COLD out today!
I am probably around 151.4 still but have been doing good with working out. I have done cardio, pilates or weights every day for the past week. Tonight I plan on doing 40 minutes of cardio followed by at LEAST 20 minutes of pilates. I have my meals planned out and entered into the log already, then added in a snack for tonight and am still under my daily calories. Now, its just a matter of sticking to that!

lol Heather, i ALWAYS weigh myself first thing in the morning, after the bathroom, and before i put clothes on.... its my system lol... and i can understand you not wanting to change it, because you are use to including the weight of your clothes in it, but sometimes its amazing how much your clothes weigh... my husband is navy and i think when they do their prt they are weighed with some clothes on and they subtract like 2 lbs or something for the weight?? (i could be wrong though lol)... and i bet you freaked this am with long underwear and undershirt on underneath, lol... glad you are doing good with the exercise, and planning out your meals for the day :) yay :) its just a matter of will power to stick to it then :)
ok i'm still not feeling 100% but, i am going to go home and do one of my more intense cardio workouts. i have eaten well all day but must admit i still feel hungry even though i've had 4 small meals already today. hopefully by the time i workout and eat dinner i won't snack late tonight! i'm really going to have to try hard to stay on track tonight. i'm craving wonton soup and chineese tea....

okay ya'll so i sit here at home all day long, and i have completely become addicted to shows like what not to wear, and how do i look...but never pay attention to their advice, lol... so i had my son take a picture of me in the new outfit i bought the other day (posed in the typical "how do i look" pose.. and i just uploaded it.... so i want to know "how do i look"... give me your opinions... please be honest, but not brutal lol.. (btw i take HORRIBLE pics) i'm posting a journal page for it, so you can leave me the good the bad and ugly there :)
I, too, am addicted to "What not to wear"! And so is my best friend. When we go shopping, we always try to play by the "rules".... but I think we both have such hangups about our bodies/ are too critical that we end up playing by the rules made for someone else. Hehe... oh well... we try.

i did do my cardio last night even though i didin't want to. i sat there just staring at the workout dvd for like 5 minutes trying to talk myself out of doing it because i was still pretty run down but made the right choice and did the workout! i did overeat a bit but i think there were 2 reasons for that. first my afternoon snack was a power bar and it reallllly made my bloodsugar spike so by the time i got home i was ready to eat anything in site (turned out to be a low fat chex mix) and my appetite was still increased due to the cold. i feel much better today and brought an apple for the late afternoon snack :) slow digesting carbs keep you full longer! i'm getting on the glycemic index kick over here.....
