150's group...daily updates
Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Good morning all, today is a new day down a few oz today i think uping my cal has helped that..woohoo we shall see trying to be really good this week have a bachlorett party sayday going to sheppards which is on the beach here in fl aaahhh but i will be drinking a dancing the day night away so i hope that will counter some of the cal in the drinks..: ) i hope..
anyway. good choices today gilrs/guys lets get to the 140's : )
oh.. also welcome senoritakel i will keep my eyes open for some yummy recipes, have u thought maybe chili or anything really you can make low cal if you take out things and add more veggies thats what i do. really im a processed food kinda girl..lol terrible i know but oh so easy with a family. good luck

Oh my gosh, OMG, OMG - I'm 150 on the dot!!!! I'm happy/sorry to say that if everything goes well I may be leaving this happy little group soon!

does anyone have a helpful suggestion for accurate weight measurement? My husband and I have bought 2 different scales this week (both digital) and they both seem a little inaccurate. Also--they won't weigh my hand weights on their own (they're "touch" sensitive or something, so you have to have your socks off to weigh). Unless I really lost a half pound in 15 minutes last night and another 3 pounds by this morning, I'm not really feeling comfortable trusting this scale. We can't afford something really expensive. Should we stay away from digital?

ekathleeng - I've had the same problem in the past and now have a cheapo old fashioned scale. I use that every once in awhile and it's so-so, but not very good.
However, I now only trust the really big expensive digital scale at my gym. Is there someplace like that you can go and weigh yourself?

I am not doing something right because I have been in this group forever...I just keep going up and down. It's annoying. Though I fell like I am doing it all right, I guess I'm not.

Hang in there poohct! I felt that same way a few weeks ago and then it just started coming off.

ekathleeng - have you done measurements.. that will help you see that you are actually losing too... i have a digital scale and it can be pretty wacky sometimes too.. i just use it as an estimate on where i am each day, and take what it says, enter it and go on lol...

Today I am still 153, which is the same as yesturday, but I am not complaining b/c I have lost more than a 1lb this week already.
I have an old scale also, not digital. It was cheap, but it seems to compare with my doctor's scales. So I figure it is okay for now. I would like to have a digital one so I could see something like 1/4lbs coming off....a little bit always helps!!

Yup you guessed it, another day at 154! Sucks! I dont know what to do! I will walk when I get home! Right around 1600 cals today! I am struggleing with sodium, not sure if that is my problem! I know it will come off eventually! Just REALLY frustrated!!!
Today has been going pretty well.... trying to incorporate more veggies so hard sometimes!

Well no big scale shockers today! I ate what I wanted yesterday with no regard to calories. Probably hit atleast 1800 maybe more and skipped the walk, and once again 154 today!!! I know long term I would see a gain, but it sure is frustrating that no matter what I do I do not lose weight! I just dont know what I could be doing wrong! I exercise and watch what I eat more than ever (except yesterday!) and NOTHING!!! Just venting! Hoping the weekend is better! I work sat and sun 7am to 7:30 pm. So I should have no problem sticking with good foods then! I will eat just what I pack! Have a great one all!!!

Nah, dropped about 5lbs in my first week. It has slowed now, probably because I'm eatting too much again (but still have a 200cal deficit).
Anywho, I probably ate like 2lbs of sushi last night then saw 300, then got starbucks. Bad.. but I had been so super depressed since Monday I felt like crawling in bed and never coming out. I feel so much better today, maybe all of those Omega-3s hmmm?
The scale says I'm 1lb heavier, but I know it's food and water. Eel sauce has to have a load of sodium in it! lol. 151.4

SO its snowing here! I am not a fan of snow and being cramped inside its been so tempting to just snack all day.. but I havent! yay! I'm looking forward for the snow to go away and to go work out out side! I was 158 this morning.... my next goal from getting below 160 is now 155! 3 pounds to go... long term---140-135.
