Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...

I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.

Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....

Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

oh kate you sound so much like me.. but im truly glad you talk with your dietition, so back on track to a healthy diet.

i just made some yummy 94 cal cupcakes, 1 box of chocolate cake mix and 12 oz of diet coke mix and back at 350 oohh and they are really good i had 2 with some lowfat icecream.. yumyum thought i would share that with you guys..
hope ya'll dont mind me jumping in here again, but kate, the exercise in itself is good for you, it helps burn fat, and helps build muscle..   so as long as you eat back the calories you burn (in good calories) you will still be losing weight and building muscle..  (and building muscle in itself is a plus, because the more muscle you have the more calories said muscle will burn..  

just my two cents worth, from what i have read...

Thanks everyone!  I felt crappy, but I took a nap, called my best friend, and journaled about my problems and about my goals, which never fails to help me get over humps and feel re-inspired (and I'm pretty sure that's a word I just made up!).  I never thought about eating back some of the calories ... but thanks to the advice of my dietition and you all on the boards here, it makes so much sense! 

Hollybelle, are the cupcakes just that -- a box of cake mix and a can of diet coke?  Bake at 350 and you're done?  Because if there is such a thing as a 94 calorie cupcake, my day has just improved ten-fold, oh cupcakes are my absolute weakness!!
hey kate. I know how you feel. I have a hard time getting to 1300 calories a day, but I still can't lose weight and I work out too! I also cut soda (and most juices), pastries, and desserts completely from my diet but I gained two pounds in the last few days! this is so hard!
Blink, Kate...hang in there! We are all here for you! Holly, I am making the cupcakes this weekend! How yummy!!!!!  That makes my day too. That and the fact that I weighed in this morning at (Insert drum roll here)......153! And I have still not started TTOTM! So I am hoping for a big drop in a week or so! Not sure if it will be big enough to get me into the 140's with you guys, but....Maybe!

I have a wedding to go to tonight! I am stressing about the food, the cake.....I am nervous! I do not drink alcohol, so no worries there. Weddings are always just a great place to overeat! LOL!
I didn't work out yesterday....finals are coming up and I have so much work to do!!! So now I feel all guilty and junk....

Tonight I WILL work out (I have to keep telling myself I have no choice and I must work out) and I am making a fancy steak dinner for my man. I plan on making lots of good veggies for sides. I hope everyone does good today!!! Good luck all!!!
okayyy so I'm weighing myself tomorrow...here's hopin for 154....

I've been worried that I'm not eating enough calories, ok so i KNOW I haven't been getting enough, but I'm worried that if I allow myself any more I'll go overboard. I guess we'll see what the scale says tomorrow....

unicat, carrie, kate..lol yes only a box of cake mix and the diet coke and it surprised me how yummy and fluffy they were def make them.. i found the recipe on here its under diet cola cupcakes i think..lol i had to find stuff to keep me going and i love to bake hence why i have to loose weight..lol and we can even lick the spoon because there is nothing in it ie: eggs oil...

my husband and 12yrs even loved them if that sayd anything...: )

today was a good day for me and the scale 150.6 now to keep it off for the weekend right.. but my trail line not sure what its called at the moment says 152 so that being said not sure if i will make it to 140s club but will def try to get my scale to say so..lol

HI! I'm about 5'10" and 157 (even though I lied in my stats and said 155!) ahh dont hate me haha! I'll get an accurate weight tonight, i swear! I'm at work right now, and will be on here all the time now that I found this place! most sites are blocked while im here, but they missed one!

Well I just returned from the wedding we went to tonight, and I added in everything I ate tonight! I am right around 1200! Wow! Eating light all day preparing really paid off, plus dinner was actually houdourves....Veggies, shrimp cocktail, bruschetta, chicken satays. I just avoided the meatballs and the cheese! And even better, they did not have a cake! Just a chocolate fountain. I had a 1 inch chunk of banana, 2 nilla wafers and a mini cream puff with just a drizzle of chocolate on each! My goal was to stay under 1600 calories, so I ate very lite all day! Egg beaters and a Boca veggie burger! I hope the scale thanks me in the morning! Have a great night girls!

Ughhh so I feel so guilty, I was hanging out with my friends and I feel rrrreally guilty, I just ate some Domino's cinna stix, some cheesy bread, and a bacon cheeseburger from Burger King.... Even with all that I still came in just under 1600 calories, but I still feel guilty because I've been doing this diet thing PERFECTLY for like the past three weeks. Oh well, I won't beat myself up over it I guess. Hey maybe it will jump-start my metabolism? I know I've been eating too little anyway, lol. Ahhh...I've got to resist the eating peer-pressure a little better next time!!!
**sigh** I am feeling so discouraged.  Everything went so well the first week  I lost 4 pounds.  This week I havent lost anything.  I don't know what I am doing wrong.  Maybe it's because I was off work last week and had more time to exercise?

Stormsrun: don't feel guilty. We all need a treat sometimes. Depriving yourself may hurt you in the long run!! Just pick yourself up and start over!!!

acaruthers: don't get discouraged. Try and look at how much water you are drinking and the amount of sodium you normally get. If it is really high then you might retain water. I am sure the exercise did help your first week, but don't lose hope yet. We are big on sodium intake on this forum, so always check that out!

My first week starting this I think I lost like 4-5 lbs. I am not an expert or anything but maybe it was water weight or something. I average like a lb a week or less sometimes now. I am gradually getting to my goal.

Switch something up, for example I starting having oatmeal for breakfast instead of one of those diet drinks in the morning and that helped.

I just wanted to share that my best friend is having a birthday party for her dog today and it should be so cute! We are having hot dogs and a dog shaped cake and of course treats for the puppies! Isn't that funny?!?!?! Also...I promise to be good and drink tons of water!!!
4lbs is a lot to lose in 1 week.  Your body is probably just trying to catch up a little.  We are such complex beings lol.

I lost 7lbs in 2 and a half weeks.  I've only lost 1 lb since then, I think it would be 2lbs as of today, but I have TTOM so I'm bloated to holy heck.  My BMI is also 23.3, I'm right smack in the normal range, my body is holding on to every bit of fat I have right now. 

I'm also slowly converting my fat into lean muscle, so that is another reason why I havn't lost weight.  I have however, lost inches.  3 weeks to lose 1lb, but my clothing fits better than 3 weeks ago.  I know something is going right. 
Storm, definatly do not beat yourself up over one day! You must have needed it! Today is a new day!
Acaruthers, 4 pounds one week and mainaining the next is great! Stay on track and you will lose another 1 or 2 pounds this week! The less you have to lose the slower you lose it!
I am soooo happy! I weighed in the morning at 152.5! Maybe there is hope for me yet! I figured I would never get to the 140's by the end of the month, and I am still pushing it! My trend line is still 153.9, so I will not officially transfer until that is in the 140's, but I am getting there and I feel so great! I walked 3 miles this morning already! We are going to a Detroit Pistons game tonight so I need to bring healthy snacks! We are in a Suite and it is stocked with food! (Chicken strips and wings, nachos etc....!) Not good for me at all! But if I got through last nights wedding I can get through this!!!

Grrr... I really want to go weigh myelf (no scale in my dorm room), but that means I need to go to the gym whigh MAY be closed due to some huge prospective-student event going on today..... it better not be because yesterday was my day off from the gym, not today....

and I want to weigh myself, dammit! lol
