Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...

I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.

Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....

Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Welcome thenursec! Good luck to you! I have had a better day today! 2nd day of my evening walk/jog! I am really enjoying it! Today I ended up around 1500 calories! Much better than yesterdays 2400! OUCH! I almost gave up, but I cant! Sounds like a few people are headed to the 140's, but it does not look like I will make it this time! But by June 1st.... I AM THERE!!!! My 2nd goal is 145 by my birthday on June 28th! And I would love to be 140 by my 20 year class reunion on August 4th!

Thanks, Carie! I'm sure you will look AWESOME at your reunion!  :) I have fought my weight almost forever; since I have been working in Critical Care, (4 years in June), I have gained 25 lbs. Streeeeeesssssssssful!!!!!!!!!  I hope I will be beach-ready by the end of August. Talk to ya later. Have a good night.
Today was an awesome day!  151.6, got up and went to the gym and had a good workout, and when I went into work, one of my coworkers said, "Kate you're looking so good and so thin!!"  This just totally floored me because "thin" is not typically the adjective I hear in conjuction with my name -- "smart" and "witty," yes, but not usually "thin."

Then tonight we all went out to a Thai place for dinner, I ordered the pad tai, ate very slowly, put my fork down in between bites, ate like, 1/16 of the portion they gave me (huge, huge portions!), didn't take any home with me, and shared my fried bananas with my friends. 

I feel like a rockstar tonight!
Hey ya'll.. I want to be a part of the daily update... I am shooting for 150 myself.. But that is my idea weight.. I don't want to be what calorie count counter says.. I just want to be a size 14 and at 150 pounds i know i can be.. I think i am losing weight slow.. But i guess this will be the right way for me.. I am doing great.. My husband is catching hell behind the weight loss.... I only lost 8 pounds so far.. I have a long way to go.. But i am here for the long haul..... GOOD LUCK 2 U all.. LYNN

Hello everyone!

I've finlly reached 159 after 3 weeks of being stuck on 160. I'm feeling pretty good - but I'll feel better when I hit that 149 mark!
150.2 this morning!!!!!  I'm practically giddy!!!!!
Lynn, I weight 155 and am an 8 or a 10. I dont even own 12's. So you will be much smaller than a 14 at 150 lbs. And you are definatly in the right place to make it happen!
Kate, I am soooo jealous! I had a great day yesterday with food and exercise and am still 155 this morning! I just stinks that right before TTOTM I had gotten down to 152.5 and now this! I cannot give up, but I really need to see some results to motivate me!!! Today it is under 1400 cals and a good workout! Anyone have opinions on a time of night to stop eating?
Carie, I eat really late usually right now because my schedule in general is all over the place, but at a lot of times I've had really good luck stopping eating 2 hours before I go to bed.

Another thing that helps me a lot is giving up soda. I don't know if you're a soda drinker or not.....

All I ever drank was diet, but there's just something about it that makes you retain weight, and if you just replace all the soda you drink with water or crystal light, it's much better for your body anway.
 

I know it totally sucks to get no results. What'll probably happen is your body will stay at one spot for a while and then *boom* you'll drop a couple lbs all at once. Don't give up! You can do this!

At any rate guys, I'm 148.5 today, so I think I'm going to switch on down to the 140's group! (yay!)

I ate probably a cup and a half of Honey Bunches of Oats last night right before bed, even though I was already at maintenance calories.  Only saving grace is that my Aunt is staying with us and drinks 1% milk, so I used half a cup of that instead of whole. 

Thankfully the cereal isn't too high in calories, but it's definately another 340 I didn't need.  I don't know why I get so darn hungry during TTOM. =(

Then my stomach started growling 30 mins later, I didn't eat anything more, but my head started pounding.  I took Ibuprofen, but it did nothing, all we have is Exedrine, caffiene = can't sleep.

End Rant.

How is everyone else? lol

Hi everyone! Only my 2nd day here! I am 157 & want to get to 135 by 8/30; going on a beach vacation. YAY! I changed my goal though, to short term goal of 10 lb. loss by 6/10. At least it looks easier, lol!! I had an old weight watchers dvd of a workout, so I did that today. I couldn't get out to walk, but they say to vary workouts anyway. Have a great weekend; hope we're all in the 140's group one day soon!

I've survived a family day out today (traditonally a time when I scoff) and done (wait for it) 110 minutes of exercise today.
welcome, thenursec! this is really a GREAT group!

Well, I was home for the weekend, and down to 156 at last check (thurs), not as low as I would have liked but hey, any loss is good right? Unfortunately I wasn't able to work out as much as I would have liked, but I went to the gym once and dragged my mom with me :-) At least I got to ride (horses) a lot, so I still got some excercise. As nice as it was being home, I just got good at sticking to my diet at school, with my limited, yet predictable and reliable options, and it is a little more difficult to stick to my plans at home. I guess I have to figure out how to do that regularly cuz I'm home for the summer in TWO WEEKS woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


OMG!!! I am at 148.8 today!!! I made it by the end of the month!! I didn't think I was going to make it...but I DID!!! WOOHOOO!!! I am so busy lately. I will only get to post occasionaly until this crazy week is over. See you soon guys!

BTW: The 140s group is really really really big. It is hard to keep up with all the posts....I am still going to chill in this group for awhile!

I'm still lurking in the 149s, I'm hoping because of bloat.  I've been eating my maintenance cals for a week now, so I wouldn't be shocked if I didn't lose anything, der... XD

Day #5 with a terrible headache.  I don't get headaches, I have no idea what is going on.....  Maybe I'm eating too much =_=;
Good morning! Thanks for welcome, Storms! WTG Pretty!!!! Glad you are staying with this group! I went to a Birthday party yesterday, & ate small portions of what I wanted. I managed to stay within my calorie range! I ate less than my alloted amt. the day before, though, as a precaution. So.....I am going to walk today as long as I can. Talk to e1 soon.
okay so I went for lunch with my friend and had a small garden salad, but that didn't fill me up...so I stopped by my campus snackbar and got an orange and my new FAVORITE snack - Blue Bunny Health Smart Vanilla Fudge ice cream bar!! It was soooo good and only 80 calories with zero fat. Sounds too good to be true to me! lol.... I may have to get another one tonight....
When I did Weight Watchers, Blue Bunny was a GOOD friend of mine!!! There are lots of lo-cal fat free items now! Miss Merengue cookies are another. Really sweet, but crunchy; you'll have to try them. Just got back from walking; first time around the track twice (one mile). Not much, but a statr.
I have had a GREAT two days! 1400 cals yesterday and in line to have just over 1300 today! Worked out the upper bod last night, cardio today! I fee renewed again!!! I can do this! So can all of you! So who did it? Made it to the 140's by the end of the month? Well I am going for it again! End of May! Anyone want to join me?
