Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

hey Tara you can totally fit into that suit in 3 weeks. I eat lean cuisine almost every day too. I don't have time to cook.!!!! I just make sure I drink a ridiculous amount of water to help flush it out and it seems to help. I drink around 130 to 160 oz of water everyday and I have noticed that in the evening after dinner I can watch the weight I gained during the day from salt falling off as long as I keep chugging until I fall asleep. I now get up every night to pee too!!! ugh. So just keep chugging and you will do great.

well i totally cheated for mothers day but i always allow myself holidays for cheating. i didin't do too bad but i did have cheese on my chicken, regular dressing on my salad, a twice baked potato and a cupcake for dessert.....oh and a few beers too! i plan to do some xtra cardio today to help make up for it. anyway i hope everyone else came through the weekend o.k.
tara- i feel your pain! remember you can't change the past but you can change the future. i too love the convienence of the lean cusine meals but if you are trying to cut down on the sodium here's a few recipes you can make on monday and immedietly pack in tupperware containers to grab and go for work the rest of the week.
1. pasta w/ red sauce (add grilled chicken and veggi's fore more proteing and vitamins)
2. 1 package of yellow rice (cooked per instructions, use low fat butter/margarine and use less than recipe calls for), dump in 1 lg container of salsa and a few grilled chicken breasts
3. 1 package of yellow rice (follow above directions), grilled chicken (marinate w/ fat free terriaky sauce) and steamed frozen chineese veggie's. cut chicken in small pieces and mix everything together.\
anyway i hope that helps...

Thanks ltlmsmfft and agana! That helped. Agana, I have been told that it is a myth that drinking enough water flushes out the sodium. I'll have to google that and see what comes up. I'll also ask my trainer.
Well I just notice I don't get bloated when I eat salt as long as I drink enough water. I know low sodium is better for me but I am not willing to cut it all out. When I don't drink enough I notice the bloating almost immediately. Its just that salt causes you to retain water but if you drink lots and lots your body will be less tempted to hang onto it....or something like that. All I know is that I notice a big difference.
im the same way if i dont drink enough water i get really bloated and even gain, my wedding rings wont even fit until later in the day, so if ur gonna keep the sodium drink lots of water..

Thanks for the encouragment! Today's my first day at trying to keep under 1400 calories. I desire to lose 10 lbs before my 10th wedding anniverary in July. Anybody with me???

YAYYY I'm done with school for three and a half months, just got home a few hours ago!!! AND....ta-da! I weighed in at 153 today and that's exactly what I was looking for! I have a check-up at the doctor's office in two weeks, to get some forms signed for my job this summer as a camp counselor, and for once I'm not dreading stepping on that official scale. I don't think I've been to the doctor's in two years, so I'm curious to find out what my last recorded weight was...it's funny that I'm hoping it was higher than what I last remember (around 173 perhaps?), I think it may have been as high as 177, which means I've lost 25lbs, yayyy for not dreading the Dr. !!! :-)

I got promoted at work, which is great, but it leaves me so exhausted at the end of the day that all I want to do is lay on the couch and visit with my husband. I have no motivation to go to the gym, and since I only have an hour for lunch, I find myself eating out more. I still watch what I get when I grab lunch, but I can't be as good as I want to be. I can just fell myself getting flabby again and it makes me want to break down. I'm so sick of all my tiny friends who never watch what they eat and have never spent a minute in the gym and look fantastic. It makes me feel like crap. And it's so rainy here on Okinawa, too, so I never want to get outside. I just feel so crappy. Blah.
Congratulations on the promotion at work bondgirl1228! Thats awesome! I know a change in your schedule can throw everything off when it comes to diet and exercise. (Believe me I know!) You just have to stick with it as much as you can. Try to pack your lunch if you can. And maybe you can try to workout before work? I know it's hard but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gook luck!

awe..bondgirl dont get down its the rain talking.. it always makes me grumpy... so since u can get to the gym this is gonna sound so silly but when im driving around at a light i will suck it in and tighten my tummy muscles d=4 as long as i can, and it hurst so it must work, and the personal trainer i talked to said she does the same thing so that a little exercise, and make more trip to get stuff at work if u have too..bathroom paper etc.. up and down in the chair is bound to keep ur booty in some shap... btw: congrats on the promotion..

Here I am! Holly, I agree! The water is a huge issue. I have been drinking at least 100 oz per day, and it has worked well! I am hanging on for dear life to 151 again the morning! I weigh in for my CC challange tomorrow! Hoping to see 150 for the first time in years! Pretty, I sure hope you feeling better, and when you do get right back at it! I ALWAYS get thrown WAY off after being sick a few days! Good, Healthy thoughts coming your way!!! Bondgirl congratulations!!!! I am trying to move up in my job also! haha carie, Dr. Phil.... I watched it yesterday with my mom and the topic was something like "Stage Moms". Ahhh they were ridiculous... I felt so bad for those poor kids!

As for the post in the other thread I think you might have been over reacting a tad. At 16 under the supervision of parents I think some alcohol is okay. I was allowed to drink a beer if I wanted one at that age. But I was with my mother and I didn't drive or party with friends. My mother thought it was best that I drink around family and see that it is not a big deal and to be responsible with it then sneak off and get hammered with friends and get into god knows what else.

I got a Trek 3700 bike. It is nice. I actually went out on it today with my boyfriend because I took off of work from my day job. We rode for about 50 minutes. (500 calories burned. Yeah!) It took some time getting used to because I got clips on my peddles so I can use my spinning shoes, but I did not know how hard it was going to be to use the clips! I fell over about three times just trying to get my shoes clipped in! But I didn't get hurt. I may put the regular peddles on.

hey carrie i checked out that post, from what you said i dont think you were in the wrong asa mother to a teenager lek you are and coming from a family with acohol issues i can understand your post, but as for me i dont seen letting your teenager have "A" drink in your house on the rare ocasion, now making a habit of it everyday 2 like she was saying is a probelm, i dotn drink everyday nor would i allow my daughter or son..but the fact that she did ask for help lets us know she does know right from wrong so i hope she take everyone advice and gets some help because her parents are not seening the signs or dont care..
