Sad to see you go, but love to watch you leave

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I sure hope it's not just me Laughing

I had this pair of jeans waiting for me in the closet, just waiting til I had lost enough weight to put them on... Well about a 5weeks ago, I finally was able to start wearing them! Yay! And they looked good! You know the kind, they fit perfect, in all the right places, and even after they were washed, were still long enough that at 5'10" and in my boots, they didn't look like a flood had hit. It's soooo hard to find a pair of jeans that fit that well.

But here we are just over a month later, and they are starting to look frumpy Cry it's time to pull out the next size down, that don't fit as well.

Now don't get me wrong, I am very happy that I have lost enough weight to move on to a new pair, but it's just so hard to find a good pair of jeans! LOL

Has anyone else had that short lived moment of sadness that a favorite (shirt, dress, pants)  no longer fits right since losing weight?

i totally thought this thread was going to be about saying goodbye to someone who has a great ass ;)

yep.  Way to go Mak'smom, but I'm vaguely disappointed.

Yes I know exactly what you mean.

I've have alot of clothes that I really did love that look like bags on me now and it makes me  sad that I can't wear the outfit anymore but than I start thinking of all the new clothes I am gonna look hot in when I get to my goal weight and all the sadness just disappears!

I'm lucky, I sew for a living.  Clothes, even jeans, can be taken in to some extent.  Now, if you lose enough weight, clothes can only be taken in so far.  My advice is to check out an alterations place.  Many dry cleaners have an alterations department.  Ask several different ones the price of hemming a pair of pants, and that way you can see which is cheapest.  Alterations aren't that expensive.  It's cheaper than always getting new clothes, and it can save a favorite item from being retired.

Thanks Plaidpooka! I would never have even thought of it, especially since they weren't expensive jeans to begin with, but given the way that they make me feel when I put them on, it would be worth paying to get another 5-6 weeks out of them Cool

My sister-in-law will be sad though, she's been eyeing them up. She's about a size and a half behind me on the same weightloss journey, and has really enjoyed getting a new wardrobe as we go, all she has to do is have them all taken up 8". LOL
