How do you know that?

Ive always been a huge news junkie, especially political news, and Ive been following every nuance of the presidential race very closely...but videos and news stories like this one make me want to disengage.

Somebody wake me up on November 4th.

I think it's disgusting that people still think like this.  They do not, however, speak for all Republicans.  That being said, it makes in no less disgusting.

Thats kindof far-fetched don't you think?

That doesn't even make any sense.

*rolls around on floor drunk*

#5 I'll pm it to you.

#8 Nope. If you intimately know the methods of propaganda, you may notice what this video is doing. Also consider the defamation that occurred during the Civil Rights Movement, these acts and techniques are not foreign to the USA.

#9 What do you mean?

pleassseee stop trolling fortius...are you really saying that the racism that occured during the early 20th century was hyped up by propaganda!?! WOW.....thats pretty sad. Where do you think this country would be without Civil Rights!? I hope you really are drunk.....

Nope, was not saying that, I believe you went from A to Z. And I obviously need to change my profile pic to avoid any further troll misunderstandings. haha..

No, I didn't mean propaganda during the Civil Rights movement, I meant it in general, but I could give an example of Propaganda used during the Vietnam War that is similar to what was used here in this video.

I meant Defamation that occurred in the Civil Rights movement where Civil Rights leaders were said to commit crimes or be guilty of some immoral acts to discredit their influence and bring the movement to a halt.

I am going to sound naive and stupid, but I am confused. How is Curious George racist? I am sorry, I feel really, really stupid for asking... :(

Dire, it's not stupid to ask.  Unfortunately, some people in the past have referred to black people as monkeys or other derogaratory statements.  I think that is what is being implied here.

I could be wrong though.  Please, someone correct me if I am.

oh... ok... in that case it is rather rude. I just had to ask, thank you :)

I'm sorry fortius, the way you phrased it kindof of threw me off Foot in mouth. As far as how credible this source is I am not sure, but I really *hope* this guy is just messing around and is not actually serious. Otherwise....it's sortof disheartening :(...either way, he is just one man. I can't let his ignorance dictate my happiness or enjoyment of others :) regardless of their background.

That is a good attitude to have.  It's pointless to let anyone else's stupidity dictate the way we treat others.  All we can do is strive to be better people and treat others better.

Even if he were messing around, it's still really insensitive and inappropriate—it violates social norms. This guy has to be extremely socially unintelligent to not know that what he did would be interpreted as racist.

But I know his rebuttal would be, "What, it's only a stuffed monkey!" Then he would pretend to be a victim of political correctness, and say people tend to over analyze things.

People generalize, and with the popularity of YouTube, things like this become global fast, and a lot of people will make this guy the Mascot for the Republican party, or you'll have Europeans that generalize all Americans and say,"Stupid racist Americans..." haha..

Ya, and I bet he would swear up and down he's not racist and use the " I hav black friends" excuse Undecided.....its getting sooo old hahaha

Oh my goodness!  That video made me cringe.  That guy knew what he was doing, proudly showing the doll when those across the street screamed "racist."  Sad.
