Okay. Sooooooooo, I may not be the most cultured person in the world...and this question is pretty embarrassing.
I know sake is a Japanese liquor (made from rice I believe?) and it's pronounced "sa-ki."
Now...when I order sushi there's also sake (salmon) under the sashimi menu. Is it pronounced the same as the liquor?
I know, silly question.
The drink sake, is pronouced 'sa-keh'.
The salmon is pronounced 'sa-ki'
hope that helps.
It does! Cause I always feel like a fool ordering...
Thank you!
I tried it once and thought it was nasty nasty nasty! Tasted like paint thinner, or at least what I would imagine paint thinner would taste like if I ever actually tasted it. ![]()
Hahaha yeah I smelled it once and was too afraid to taste it....
