I love salads...but I never use to eat them because they were such a pain to make...

My sister came over for a week and while she was here she made herself a salad...A couple days worth at one time...

My mouth fell open...just cause the sheer stupidity on my part...

So just in case no one else thought of this already(hoping I am not the only one) I will pass on this hint...

Get a hugh tupperware and go crazy...I have added things to my salad that I never added before just cause its so easy now....The container of salad usually lasts me three days...

Cool

That's so cute.  I remember doing something similar at the laundromat the first time - didn't occur to me I could use more than 1 washer at once, I had been so used to doing it at home XD

I don't prep the whole salad myself - gets too soggy for my picky palate.  But I do chop a bunch of veggies in the beginning of the week, and then all I have to do is put some lettuce in a dish, put my toppings on that, and then add dressing.  It's taken salad from being a huge ordeal to just 3 steps :)  Glad you caught on to this!  Plus, when I bring salads to work, I get compliments as if I'd spent all morning making it, so there's an extra ego boost for ya :P

I like having a bunch of different chopped up vegetables in separate containers or baggies ready to go so I can throw different combinations into a tupperware for lunch or bowl for dinner. I get too bored if I try to eat the same combination for a week straight, and it still saves a ton on prep time.

Good advice!  I too make my salads every morning DUH!  I'll be given it a whirl tomorrow.

It is funny that the huge tupperware container lasts you 3 days!!! My sister and I eat got LARGE & IN CHARGE tupperware containers to put our salads in and we filled them to the brim AND we ATE THE ENTIRE THING IN ONE SITTING!!!!

- Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Grilled Onions, Sauteed Zucchini & Squash, Bell Peppers, Broccoli, Cherry Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Olives, Capers... and to top it all off about 10 ounces of Arctic Char!!!

* Go nuts with your salad - your body will thank you!

I try to have a salad in my fridge. It is something that I can grab when I am starving.

I also take my punch bowl and fill it full of greens. I do this when I entertain in my home. I have a huge salad bar .

Always good to have salad on hand.  Especially if you work, take a look at the bowl in your fridge and make sure you have enough to take to work the next day. I found there's nothing that can sabotage me quicker than having to make a salad in the morning while I'm trying to prepare the household for the day.

The only things I'll watch are some veggies don't last like others so like Skwinkle I keep some things in separate containers and combine at the last minute.

The other thing I recently did was found a wholesale place that sells those little dressing containers with the lids that you get for take out.  A one ounce size is exactly 2 tblsp.  I put my dressing into that and pack it in my lunch for work.  It takes out all the guess work, dirtying a spoon (and leaving half the dressing in  it).  And it may sound stupid but it feels a little special having one of those little containers of dressing.

...salad spinner...God's 2nd greatest creation!  :)
