Do you have any nutritional info on these?
I'm sorry, but I have to protest! Why would anyone trying to lose weight (as I am) want to make 48 125-calorie cookies?! Foul!
salome - thanks for the recipe. i'm sure i'll tweak it a bit with sugar free substitutes, but that's just me. ![]()
bowman - if you copy the ingredient list and put it in the recipe analyzer it gives you the nutritional data
flonklar - protest all you want, but we all have a right to do things our own way. while a cookie might not be the best nutrition in the world occasionally it's nice to treat yourself. it's not like the OP said these were any form of "diet".
Well, I was just disappointed to see the headline and then find out that the cookies are untouchable.
HAHAHA!! I totally agree flonklar! 48 cookies isn't even pratical for a family of 4! 48 cookies is an entire BAKE SALE!
I love allrecipes.com because you can change the amount of servings you want & it will automatically convert the ingredient measurements. I hardly ever make more than 3-4 servings of anything for my small family. When I'm by myself I make 1, and 1 ONLY!
Mmmm... they sound delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Nothing is untouchable and sometimes you have to have a treat. I am not saying you need to eat all 48 cookies. They are also good frozen.
I am trying to lose weight but I also have a husband and three kids that are all skinny and eat very well. Sundays I try to make a special treat for everyone.
Anything in moderation.
He said they were untouchable because the recipe yields a huge amount of cookies. Nobody is hating on you or your cookies and nobody is implying that delicious "real" cookies are somehow wrong. You can imagine the implications of a single dude who is trying to lose weight making up a batch of 48 cookies. I won't even do that for my family of 3.
I make special treats here too. Yesterday I made rice krispie treats, complete with HFCS Rice Krispies, mini marshmallows AND m&m's.
Since they were just for 5 people (my family of 3 + my mom & brother), I made 1/2 the recipe & we still ended up with enough to send as gifts for my daughters friends at school.
Anyway, glad you found a cookie recipe that accommodates your family's volume of cookie eating. Pudding in cookies is fantastic. I like butterscotch with chocolate chip & also pistachio with chocolate chips and cherries. Mmmm!
Nothing beats the original toll house back of the bag recipe. So full of butter and deliciousness. mmm. Cookies. I might have to challenge your cookie recipe to the toll house one :) Would sugar free pudding work?
What is the point of pudding mix? Just add extra vanilla flavor? Also where does the acid come from to activate the soda? Shouldn't it be baking powder?

^heh, they are totally a retro thing. You know, like pistachio "salad?" People put jello/pudding in everything! It's all about nostalgia. If you don't already "know" the pudding cookies, much like pistachio "salad," you might not like them. The pudding makes em chewy. Also, if you use pistachio pudding... it makes them GREEN! AWESOME!
They have the recipe on allrecipes! That means you can now try 1 pudding cookie! Yeah!

I made these and halved the recipe and used chocolate pudding and peanut butter chips and everyone at work loved them. for 124 cals a piece they are high but if you can fit one (or 4 in my case) into your daily allotment...why not?
I just made them too using chocolate pudding and chocolate chips and yummy! They were delicious and chewy. I ate two of them and gave most of them to a friend as a get well gift. Was happy to get them out of the house before I devoured the whole batch!
