Salut!! 24 yr old who misses her 18 yr old body...

My name is Susie. I'm a young professional and I think that's what really got me. I work an easy 60 hour work week. I travel domestically and internationally for work. My job is stressful. Along with the stress to do my job, there is the stress to stay thin (yes...fashion industry). It's craziness.

I've fell in and out of workout programs and depression. I have a bad history of eating disorders and I'm trying to stay on the healthy track. I've seen the disorder ruin relationships, friendships, disappointing and upsetting family members...I'm ready to do this the right way. I know I will never see myself as 'perfect' but I'm hoping to get back to what I thought was acceptable. I'm currently 5'3 and 124lbs. My goal is 115lbs...but really I'd love to be back to 110lbs.

It's great meeting everyone!!! I'm excited to do this the right way this time around.

CHEERS!

It's not always realistic to compare our adult bodies to our body of our teen years...so i think your goal of 115 is reasonable and definitely achievable. so, what do you struggle with? how many calories do you plan to eat if you plan to count? what is your exercise regimen? if you need help feel free to message me!!

hey chrissy!! i agree...bone structure and all changed as well in those years. right now i'm sticking to a 1200 calorie diet (according to this site i'm only burning about 1650 a day). i started biking to work which is a good 30 min workout morning & night. i have a gym membership but because of work schedule, it's been really on & off for me. i used to date a personal trainer and we were really into working out (around the same time that i had my beloved body). additionally, i've heard amazing things about the book "The New Rules of Lifting for Women". I am going to give that a whirl. :)

I appreciate the support. I think that's really what I need.

Hey Susie!

We sound similar in many ways, so I just thought it would be cool to have someone to talk to about this stuff :)

I also work in the fashion industry (I am a Fit Model) and it is very very stressful as far as my weight goes...  Also, I have struggled with eating disorders and negative body image for a very long time. I am with you, I want to lose weight the right way this time.  I haven't been starving myself and I have been going to the gym or going running .

Hopefully we can help eachother out a bit, it would be nice to have someone that understands my crazy body image!!

xox take care

Ange

Hey Ange,

It's great to meet someone who is on the same page! Ya...being a fit model must be really tough. I have two hired fit models and while it's not about being stick thin, I do need them to never gain or lose an inch!!

Let's support each other in this!!! That'll be fun!

xoxo,

Susie
