So, I'm still excercising and watching my calories but for some odd reason my tummy is just sticking out more than usual. What would this be due to? I just feel so bloated. I'm not pregnant, my period should be coming in a week, i haven't gained weight...So what could it be?

Thanks!

At risk of being gross/TMI, has it been a long time since your last bowel movement? That always makes me feel bloated. It could also be from excess sodium, or water retention since you said that it's almost that time of the month.

you could be bloated for a few reasons: TOM, water retention due to too much salt/sodium, carbonated beverages, some veggies, beans/legumes, food allergies, food intolerances which may develop at any point in life.

oh yea and constipation
That's true, I did have plantains today. It just freaked me out a lil bit. Thanks for the ideas.

well from someone who has tummy issues, and who has been working out for the last 2 months, my stomach of course sticks out more than the rest of myself. this is all due to the fact that more weight was there so its always going to be the last to go. dont worry, if being fit is what you care about, keep working out like you are, it will EVENTUALLY go away! it all just takes patience. I mean my stomach looks smaller than before but if you compare it to the rest of my body than it doesnt as much. but I just keep it in my head that it will eventually come off.

Yeah, I get belly bloated like that all the time. You can usually tell if you look different from day to day.

This kind of visible change IS NOT FAT. It's probably gas.

It is really difficult, (impossible?) to gain enough fat from one day to another to see noticeable changes like that.
