Ok so i am waiting for some more people to post. I will wait for them until i say anything further.

9 people have not weighed-in!!!

If you have not weighed-in, you need to by midnight tonight (in a little over an hour).

If you do not weigh-in, you will be taken out of this group unless you have a resonable reason for not weighing in.

Ok. I have decided how to score. Since everyone is different, there will be three weight loss champs each week!

this week, they are:

africalover4ever: -3.5

lucydarn: -9

sherri818: -4

Congrats for making the top 3 champ list! Keep up the good work on losing weight.

Everyone, you can lose weight if you gained or stayed the same. Just put your mind to it and you can do it! Good luck next week!

Hey, I just wanted to say sorry for missing weigh-in. Miss calculated the time, I'm from Australia.

I'll not join the group, it'll just get too confusing. Thanks for the thought and good luck to all.
Congrats to the 3 champs this week.  You made some real headway.  You're right africalover4ever, I have to put more resolve into it.  I do great until the evening hours and then piss it all away.  Maybe I should just put myself to bed at 5pm everyday.

hasta, that's always been one of my biggest downfalls too. I think I've found a way to avoid it (for me, at least). As soon as I get home from work, usually about 5pm, I get on the treadmill or elliptical machine and walk/jog for an hour, then I shower. By this time it's around 6:30. Then I eat my dinner...chicken breast and a salad or steamed veggies. This fills me up enough that if I'm watching TV I don't get that craving to snack so much. I have to go to bed by 10pm since I get up at 4:30 am! I've found that by not giving myself too much time to relax in the evenings, I avoid the snacking.

Anyway, that's what seems to work for me! Good Luck!

Congrats to the champs. . .its amazing how motivating this is. . i have been having a problem with eating lately not just at night mine is due to emotional eating i have to get a handle on this cuz drama will never go away i just need to figure this out i just havent figured out how yet
With holidays, i'm bored...so i eat when i have nothing better to do.....but tommorrow it's back to school...so hopefully i will lose weight...but I need to stop eating at like 7:00pm otherwise i keep eating.....congrats to the champs!

Hi all,

Sorry I didn't weigh in yesterday! I'm down 1.4 lbs. I'm 247.6. It's a start. I joined a gym this week and have gone three times. I plan to keep it up next week. My daughter joined with me and she kicks my but to go.

My big pitfall is nighttime eating. Any tips? I've gotten rid of all the junk in the house but I can still find something in a pinch.

Good luck this week everyone. I really appreciate the support this board offers.

Thanks sherri818.  I'm definately going to try a version of this tonight.  Today is my 1st day back to work after the holiday and I think getting into a new routine at this time may be a little easier.  I'll also try the cup of tea in the evening if I do get a craving.    Look out guys! I'm going after one of thise champ spots next week.

ok. im here. so i think i fixed the board. GOOD LUCK guys!!!! How do you all not over-eat after exercise? i do it all the time and cannot stop.
I ate one of my kid's open bag of cheetos after my 2mi run this evening.  Luckily it was a snack bag so when it was gone, it was gone.

After I exercise I'm just the opposite...I hate to waste all those calories I worked so hard to burn off by overeating. But I'm one of those all or nothing people. If I quit exercising, my diet goes to heck. I have a hard time just cutting calories if I'm not working out.

This scares me because later this month I'm having a minor surgery and will have to hold off on the work-outs for a while. I don't want to gain back any pounds I've lost during that time so I'll have to get really tough with myself about my food intake!

hmmm..well  after workouts maybe eat lots of veggies..to make you full, and i mean lots! so if you do STILL want something unhealthy  after veggies...then you shouldn't or won't have as much...

Also, i've learned that if you like having sweets....the best time to splurge is after a hard work out...it restores your electroytes...and then you should have a full meal with good protein like an hour or more after...but thats for workouts that you feel really exhausted or sweated alot..etc....triathletes and pro runners do that do that...

BUT I'm not saying it's a go ahead to binge on chocolate and peanut butter!...moderation is key!!!!

And if i do a workout..like i'm in ballet where i don't normally sweat alot, i'm now not gonna eat afterwards, (i used to) but instead im gonna just go to bed..
I use to eat after I worked out now I drink a slimfast that fills me right up

Thanks so much guys for the advice and support!

So...weigh-in is in 2 days! I hope you all are on the right track!

Just to remind everyone, Weigh-in is tomorrow! Please weigh-in by around 10pm. I will let you be a couple of mins late but please try to weigh-in by that time.
