"Learn something new"...

So what have you learned in the last 24hrs?

For me this morning I discovered that after years of believing that I was up on my rights and laws and believing that if I was ever to be arrested I had a right to have a solicitor present during police questioning is wrong....no i don't have that right i am only entitled to one in court...Huh!

I learned that only female potato bugs can roll into a defense ball, the males cannot.

All those years looking under rocks as a child and I thought the ones that couldn't roll into a ball were just too lazy.  I usually crushed them.  =F

lol that is so funny Laughing

I learned that when I go take a walk with my friend Lexie, Ice cream is probably a bad idea. (I went WAY OVER my calories)

 Surprised LMAO

Yesterday I learned a lot of stuff about building muscle/losing fat. I barely had room on the shelf! =D

I love potato bugs!

Yesterday I learned that a pint of maple syrup can produce about 30 delightful little maple sugar candies. Unfortunately, the process is very tricky, so I probably can't make them at home.

Hypnosis therapy is not quack science. That surprised me.

I'm way more out of shape then I thought thanks to the no resistance gazelle.  Here I thought I'd be fine getting back out on the track....man was I ever wrong!  Lesson learned... no more slacking!

I learned, once again, never to drink coffee while driving wearing a new white skirt.

I learned that I probably didnt need that chocolate granola bar last night.. LOL

I've learned that life is more dysfunctional than functional.

You basically went on a sex based genocide then huh? Man Hater :D

I learned that strawberries+coolwhip+sugar free pudding = ♥

Best recipe for a HUGE dessert under 200 calories I've found yet.

I learned the origins of the phrase, "It's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey."  Apparently, it's a naval thing.  A brass monkey is a large triangle made of brass that was used to hold cannon balls on ships (kind of like the triangle used in billiards).  When it got really cold, the brass would shrink and push all of the cannon balls out the top.  I had always thought it was about a brass statue of a monkey freezing his testicles off.

I learned that by the year 2030, 83% of the adult population will be overweight or obese.

scary.

I learned that my two year old can climb around the outside of her older sister's bunk bed!  Now if I could just learn how to keep her from doing it!

Um, well lets see. I learned that male potato bugs cannot roll into a ball,  that there is an awesome dessert under 200 calories that I just must try and the origins of the term "It's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey.

tee hee Thanks fellow CC'rs.

I learned that apparently there are a lot of hidden charges if you're trying to get an American work visa.

I learned that when bees choose a larva to be queen they feed the larva nothing but a substance called "royal jelly" and that larva is the only larva to grow a female reproductive system [aka be the queen bee]. Laughing

I learned a bunch more about bees... and I think they're pretty awesome! Not to mention a bunch of stuff I just read in this thread!
