Hello! My name is Amanda and, like almost everyone on this site, I need help losing weight. I'm hoping this place will be a source of motivation - I've been overweight my entire life and finally can't take it anymore. Right around 200 lbs right now and my goal is 165 - but at this point? I'll take 190! I just really want to see some results and am ready to work hard...


However, tomorrow I'll see something tasty and jump off the wagon only to feel crappy about myself for doing it. All of you know this cycle. Eat and then feel depressed, rinse, repeat.

So yeah, I'd love to have some buddies on here - people to share struggles and victories with. The majority of my friends are very slender and so they don't understand what it's like to lose 3 lbs and feel overjoyed!

Hey, feel the same way! Ive been trying so hard and what happens?? I gain wieght!.........I've tried Atkins, working out, eating healthy, drugs.... you name it. Im stuck at 180 . I used to be 140 and wanted to lose wieght then, how sad is that! How I wish for that figure again!!! Anyways I'm new to this site too and am in the same boat so...

I did Adkins too and lost like 40lbs. Of course, I was so depressed and sad all the time (I stayed on the 0 carbs for 1 month instead of 1 week - I was so desperate to lose weight.)   Never want to get like that again.

This site can be kind of intimidating with everyone talking about everything and weighing in and all of that - I'd like to do that too, but don't even know where to begin! lol

Hi i want to wish you luck i am trying to lose about 30 to 40lbs . It is very important to have a support group. I am also learning about. this site anything i can do to help let me know

im new too...but not new to dieting at all.... we have similar proportions and goals....and yes i fully remember my 20 carbs or less for months routine....been there done that ..been miserable several times being sticter than strict....trying to go about it the right and maintainable way this time... .i lost the 40 about 2-3 yrs ago then had some major life stresses... and then slowly it crept back over the course of a year...i looked in the mirror awhile ago and it shocked me..so im more determined than ever....even the fat jeans are tight...ive decided to start this membership in hopes of helping me stay motivated...and accountable....

This sight really is wonderful with all of its tools and all of the great people. I started out a little over a year ago trying to lose the weight at 160. I got down to about 140 with exercise and slightly trying to watch what I ate. Then I really utilized CC and got down to 125. (Well, 130 now but that is because of the darn holiday yesterday). You can do it if you just stay focused on your goal. If you guys need anything don't hesitate to ask any of the wonderful people here on the forum. Nice to meet the new ones here.

YAAAAYYY !!!!!!!! ....  I finally found a group that is recent and have the same goals, hardships, successes and mishaps as me ... I'm Shawna (big wave to everybody) ...

Well, it's obvious I am in the same boat and looking for people to share my struggles and successes with .. currently I'm 195ish (don't own a scale yet) i would like to get down to about 145 ... any pointers, aides and ideas are very much welcomed ...

Anyone and everyone is welcomed to contact me .. I make a great cheering section .. and leaning post (just the right height) Laughing .. lol ..

I'm on a night schedule so my replies around this time maybe a lil earlier!!
