I know what you mean....everytime I walk into my bathroom I have to weigh myself!
omg... i do this too..but i find it helpful. i get motivated when i see a loss or a gain...so
I weigh myself twice a day and as long as you don't let the fluctuations get to you it's not that big of a deal.

I used to really stress every time the scale went up a pound or two (or more), so I went cold turkey and started weighing only once a week.

I've gone back to weighing twice a day but it no longer bothers me to see the flutuations.

If it is a problem for you I would suggest you take your scale and put it in a drawer or somewhere where it's not readily accessible and take it out just on the days you want to weigh wether it's once a week or once a month and then put it back in it's hiding spot.

That's how I managed to abstain for at least a few weeks. For some reason it is a really hard habit to break so be prepared for it to be a bit tough at first.
I used to, but have limited myself to once a week! It is so freeing and I find that I work harder to lose weight because I dont know what my weight is daily.

My cycle became....if I lost a pound or two, I figured I could treat myself and if I gained I figured, what the hey, I am not losing anyways, so I ate more than too! Since not weighing I have lost 4 pounds and 9 inches in just under 1 month!

I was getting sad about once a week weigh-in fluctuations, so my wonderful DH kidnapped the scale and hid it for three weeks!  I was afraid he was going to make me wait for 2 months for a weigh-in, but he ransomed back the scale as long as I promised not to obsess or freak over it.

(So I sneaked a weigh-in day on Thursday ... woo hoo!)  I am now back to just once a week weigh-ins, on Sundays ... starting next Sunday.

MOLLY

yup. i confess. it turned out to be a real problem for me like everytime i walked into my bathroom...

so I gave the battery to a friend and i weigh myself just once a week.

Everyday during the week usually. Never on the weekend. I always have the most trouble on the weekends. I need the daily feedback to stay on target. I never weigh more than once a day.

I need to get a good set of scales for home and then I'd probably stay more focused during the weekend.
ive weighed myself every day since is was a teenager. Im on a detox and have lost 10lbs in 10 days, result is im now checking the scales 3+ times a day as they seem to be constantly going down. Im even jumping on them in the middle of the night if im in the bathroom. I get excited about getting out of bed to check them. yay to scales and yay to getting skinny.

I get like that and it makes me crazybananas, which isn't good. So this week I'm gonna try hard to stay off the scale. After all, the scale cannot tell me if I feel or look good, only how much I weigh, and those first two things are not equal to the third.

But it's tough. If that's what you want to do (weigh constantly) own it, but I'm happier when I don't do it.

Frown wow... this is scary for me... because i am actually very very VERY fearful of weighing myself. it's a phobia..

I did the same thing and when the weight stopped dropping and stayed the same no matter what I did, it started to become extremely depressing, so I moved it to the basement where it wasn't so handy to jump on all the time. Now I only way myself on the weekend and only one morning.
Yep thats me too..absolutely scared to death to weigh myself. I had a post about this not too long ago. I must say, not too many people shared the same phobia as I. I actually did weigh myself this morning FINALLY; after 9 months. I was pleasantly surprised. I had lost 3#. Woo hoo. =)

 Frown YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!!!!

im still working on sucking it all up and stepping on the scale.... i am soooooo scared =[

i think for now (or even for the longest time!) ill just rely on the mirror. if what i see in the mirror is good, and if it actually does appear like i lost some weight............GOOD!

I weigh myself like, 10 times a day. Probably more. Obsessiiiive!!
I weigh myself once in the morning and once at night every day. It's good because weight gain can't just sneak up on me. I'd find it traumatizing if I didn't weigh all week and then when I did I'd gained 5lbs or something! This way I can see how my eating for the day is reflective on the scales.

I used to obsessively weigh but that just made me eat more. Crazy, huh? I'd go weigh myself and pleased that I was still the same number I'd go and eat like 3 avocadoes at once and see if I had gained. Quite ridiculous.
