Got on the scale after a "good" week and lost nada!
I know it happens. Could be water weight, muscle weight, etc... Still, the scale said I regained the two lbs I was so ecstatic to lose last week!?!?!
According to this site, I can have 1500 calories a day and lose weight. On days I work out and burn 300 calories, I allow myself 1800 calories that day. Still, that comes out to 1500 calories a day. (I burn 2200 just by living)
This shouldn't be so complicated. To lose weight one must burn more calories than they consume. I'm doing that. WTF?
Any advice?

I cannot lose weight at 1500 calories a day. I usually do 1200. I end up gaining weight at 1500. Maybe you are the same. It just means your metabolism is a little slower.
And if you work out you should not allow yourself to eat more, it completely defeats the purpose!

Please do not take any of this person's advice. ^ That is all sorts of wrong.
Mem18, don't give advice when you haven't done any health research whatsoever.
Yeah. If you work out and burn like 1000 calories and eat 1500, you essentially had a 500 calorie day. Well that is just not enough to exist on. 1200 is the bare minimum for women to eat, 1500 for men, I believe.
Just keep plugging away... it'll come off! You're doing good things for your body - it'll thank you in the long run!! Sorry I can't be more helpful.
(edit - added stuff)

Haha im sorry but that is bad advice. By that logic then no one should work out, just eat less. Working out builds muscle, and raises your metabolism. So does eating more. Also, you dont want your deficit to be too big. Therefore its beneficial to eat when you work out.
You might be able to lose weight more effectively by improving the quality of the foods you eat, ie. eating healthier, or changing the ratio of fat/carb/protein. Either that or you could try eating more, sometimes that does it.
Never weigh after a workout - always weigh before hand. I will gain about 5 lbs in 45 minutes of working out. So if you only weigh at the gym do so before the workout. its also best to weigh at the same time of day. Personally I weigh first thing in the morning when I wake up after emptying the bladder LOL
Also if your just living burn is 2200 you may well be not eating enough on your exercise days. Add some low fat protein
Thanks everyone for your support and advice. :) Appreciate it. clearly mem18 needs to do some research. 1500 is right for my BMI. I'm just not being patient enough. My body will catch up!
And anyways, I feel better and my belly is much smaller! So I'm losing weight. Maybe I should cut sodium intake.
One step at a time.
