ok, i don't really think i'm ready to go scale-less yet.. but it's something i've always wished i could do. haven't found the guts yet
BUT i'm interested in hearing stories from those of you who have gone scale-less! why did you decide to and how did you do it? did you ever go back to it did you gain weight because you weren't weighing yourself often? do you feel better now? i know it sounds weird that i'm asking.. but i know tons of people are wondering the same thing. so, let us know!
I just posted about this. I'm determined to do this without a scale. I guess I probably have about 100 pounds to lose, but I'm more concerned with what size I am and how clothes fit. When I'm a size that doesn't make me cringe, then I'll start weighing, but right now I neeeeeed to build muscle and I neeeeeeeed to lose a ton of fat, and muscle weighs more than fat so it's just something I don't want to do right now.
I've been wearing a halo for what I eat for a month now, and I log every bite. I exercise as much as I possibly can. I don't need no steenking scale. heh
(edit: meant to say muscle weighs more than fat)
I started counting calories in June. This is the first time for me. I wanted to lose around 25 pounds. So I started counting and weighing myself once a week. I found I was getting impatient and discouraged when the scale fluctuated, but I did notice my clothes were fitting better. So I stopped weighing myself, and haven't weighed for over 3 months. I have been much happier. I think less about numbers and, in fact, I don't know how much I weigh, but I am happy with my size now. So I am now slowly upping my calories to match my burn. I was just wondering today, if I should weigh myself and decided not to. I like how I look and feel now.
I would have to say, how my clothes fit is my best measure of how I am doing.
wow, you guys are amazing! i really wish i could just toss it out or hide it. it's gotten to the point where daily fluctuations are getting to my head.. although logically i know they shouldn't ![]()
