The scale told me good news today!!!!

OK, so for 6 months I have been yo-yoing up and down between 215 -220. I would get to 215 and try even harder to exercise and eat less to lose weight. I thought if you want to be thin then you needed to eat like a thin person would eat. So I would eat around 1200 - 1400 hundred calories a day trying my hardest to lose weight. Plus I would exercise about 1-2 hours 3 days a week thinking I need to because I work all day in a office in-front of my computer. So I need to move to lose the weight. Well I was very sadly mistaken like I said earlier I would not go under 215 at all. Well then I found this site called calorie per hour to try to help figure out how many calories I burn in a day. I truly thought that because I worked all day inside at a desk job in-front of my computer that I was sedentary. Thats why I was eat around 1200 - 1400 calorie a day. Well this site (calorie per hour) has a log in everything you do so I started with waking up in the morning brushing my teeth,doing my hair and make-up, dressing, get the kids dressed, drive time you get the idea ever thing including sitting and watching TV. Well the site said that I was burning 3,345 calories WITHOUT EXERCISE. OMG!!! So I didn't believe it of course I asked question on cc  if anyone heard of this site and how accurate is it. Only one person replied and said they use it sometimes going back and forth to cc. So then I decide that I was going to try to increase my calories to 1700 - 1900 calorie WITHOUT EXERCISE and see what happens for a month. Well I'm here to tell you that its been almost 2 weeks and I have lost weight. I woke up this morning and of course weighed myself and I'm at 209. Smile Who would have thought to eat more to fuel my body to lose weight. So now I'm going to go back to exercising with of course add more calories to balance it all out. I'm sooooo excited I'm closer to getting out of the 200's Yay! for me

Well after all of that I will post again later to see how I do with add my exercise. And by the way I love cc website I just didn't know how many calories I burn in a day. So if your stuck or just started and don't know if your sedentary, light active or moderate active go to this website  http://www.caloriesperhour.com/ and figure it out. Just remember that its an estimate so play with the range of calories.

I truly hope this helps someone.

Yippee for you Sofia!  Sounds like you are now armed with the right information.

I love CC+.  Once I found how to track my calories intake and calories expended it was a whole new world. 

I have been stalled at around 200-205 all summer but this morning 198.5!  So good news for me as well.

I have been on this journey for about 3 years now I started at 280 lbs and have not stopped. Excluding when I was pregnant 2 yrs ago.

That is truely fantastic!!!  I haven't met you, but I am proud of you!!!! I just joined the site today and I'm so excited to begin my weight loss journey.  I have abou t10 pounds I want to lose, but the site says I need to lose 22.6.  So I guess we will start off small and see where it takes me!!!!  I have that extra ten pounds of baby weight hanging on and I joined the site to get motivation to lose it and keep it off!!!!

Hi Sofia040275, That's great that you're finding you can up your calories and start yourself losing! Our bodies can sure be confusing. CC has finally helped me establish some sustainable eating patterns by helping me easily keep track of what I eat. I was really kidding myself before. And when I tried to too drastically limit my eating, I was just setting myself up for failure. Good luck on your progress!

My baby actually has lite brown hair.  In the pic it does look a little red, but it's not:)  For your sake though, I hope your granddaughters hair does turn out red!!!!  My husband and I both have dark brown, so I hope her's starts to turn back to dark.  She was born with Dark black hair and it has slowly started to fade over her almost one year of life!!!!

Good luck again to all those trying to lose weight.  I am going to weigh myself tonight to see if I have lost anything in the last week!!!  Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
