ok...so i've been losing weight gradually since May, and i know this because my clothes are a lot looser and jeans are baggy-all good signs, also my jaw is so much more defined and my pictures look better BUT i just jumped on scales and it says i weigh the same-how can this be possbile if people have told me i've lost weight and my clothes feel looser, and my face looks different???

 

-i had just ate a massive 4 course meal plus drank four glasses of wine

-i am also 3 days away from starting my period

...could this be the reason???? and if so how much weight would this take up?

i wouldn't be surprised if you were holding 7lbs of extra food weight after a meal like that. has happened to me.

then you have to factor in when your last bm was.

u should try and never step on a scale after a meal.

do you exercise? if you are building up muscle keep in mind that pound for pound it takes up less space than fat.

Weight retention, pre-period bloating, food weight.... there are lots of reasons. I always try to not weigh myself after eating, too.

you have to weigh yourself first thing in the morning, right after peeing, without any sort of food or liquid in your body and best if you're completely naked.

this is the most accurate you can get when it comes to your real weight.

dont panic.

if you weigh the same with clothes on and after a huge meal, you are way smaller than that :) trust me.

Also....I read somewhere that alcoholic beverages have an effect on the liver where you retain weight for about a day after drinking. Someone else could explain the effect but occasional drinking will add a few pounds that dissapate over a few days.
