Cottage Cheese!  and i just got the guts to try it . I put pepper and salsa and it was to good to even explain.  SO if your scared of it just give it a try. After the first bite the texture doesnt bother you that much anymore. Well for MOST people it wont =]       & nbsp;      &nbs p;

I absolutely positively love cottage cheese! I eat it with cinnamon and splenda for breakfast every morning! It seems to be working for me! I normally eat it with multigrain crackers and it taste so delicious!

i personally dont eat it but my boyfriend loves it he puts cocoa and splenda in it just like his oatmeal. unsweetened cocoa has only 5-15 calories a spoonful and you only need one. plus theres some fiber in it too

Cocoa?  Hmmmm

Im such a fan of cottage cheese and grateful to get help with my dairy intake.  Done cinnamon although I prefer the pumpkin pie spice but Ive never even bought cocoa - didnt really have a use for it although I know its antioxidant healthy.  Will try to remember that one!

Chances are if you have never tried cottage cheese then you will most likely not taste the difference between a low fat and "regular" fat.  Always buy the small curd - it is much more texture pleasurable.

I love cottage cheese!!  You can also try it with peaches.  Some people get the canned kind which is really good but because of the sugar/syrup it might boost the caloric intake.  I'd try some fresh peaches - they are naturally sweet and will still taste great totether.

Enjoy!

I like it w/just about any fruit, pineapple or peaches or grapes or plums ( all fresh!) are my favorites, but I'm always trying new fruits w/it :)

Also w/tomatoes (which I guess is technically a fruit) and a little salt is yummy.

Oh yeah, grapes are wonderful!  I totally forgot about grapes =P

Now I need to go pick some up from the store...haha
I like it with apple butter only.  I think I get the 2% small curd.  Good stuff.  Very filling snack.

I'd say this advice is very true. The fat free is OK and I eat it to say the calories, but the low fat is very good. I find the full fat variety too rich (or thick or something like that) any more because I'm used to the lower fat version. Kind of like how I can't stand regular milk anymore after drinking 1 & 2% for so long.

Ooh, cottage cheese. :D The best way I've seen that used is either in place of ricotta (in cannelloni and such) or one of the dinners my mum'll eat - toasted crumpets topped with lean ham - the thick sort, not wafer - and cottage cheese, and piccalilli and veg by the side. It's not quite my cup of tea as I can't eat crumpets without needing to run to the loo about 30 minutes later, but it's a clever combination.

I have discovered lately that it is AMAZING in a zucchini lasagna, where you use zucchini instead of noodles. And a giant portion of it is only around 300 calories. Thinly slice zucchini, "sweat" it by putting some salt on it and letting it sit for 15 minutes, then wipe with a towel. I throw a bunch of vegetables like peppers and spinach and carrots into some canned spaghetti sauce along with some Morningstar fake beef crumbles, then layer zucchini, cottage cheese (mix in a splash of Egg Beaters if you want to), sauce, zucchini, and more sauce, then top with a tiny bit of mozzarella and bake till browned. It's one of my new favorite meals. Now I really want that right now!

I also really like it with fruit.
