Hi everyone!
I am new and I am so glad to be here....this site is great. I been reading some of the posts here and its really nice to see that I am not alone and the members are soo supportive.
I have a serious problem with my weight. I am 21 yrs old, 5'6, but I am only 100 pounds. I have always been somewhere between 98-103 pounds. I think I eat enough, but I dont gain weight. Usually my calorie intake is between 1700-2000, and I am not very active.
I been worried about my weight for the past 6 years, but its really starting to get to me now because I am getting married in Feb of next year and I am starting to look for a wedding dress....and I am SCARED :(
I have noticed that even though I dont look sick, clothes dont seem to look so good on me and I want to gain weight before I wear my wedding dress and my fiance is also not so crazy about my weight....and I totally understand that because I know I need help.
Right now my goal is to gain 15 pounds or better off 20 pounds that is if I get lucky. I dont have a problem with eating....I mean I am not scared of eating or worried about that I will look fat, but the problem is that I dont like Food. There is nothing that I like. I dont have a Fav. dish. I dont like ice cream, I dont like chocolate, and I dont like meat, but I do eat it sometimes. I hate fast food, so I always eat at home.
Right now I feel like there is no way I will ever be able to gain weight (it runs in the family, my sister is very skinny and so are my 2 brothers, but all younger than me).
I have read some of the other posts, and have found really helpful tips, but I would really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas or tips that can help me.
Thanks in advace
I would recommend lifting light weights to get some nice definition. It can help you fill out and get some nice curves. Don't worry about looking like a man you have to lift really heavy and take steroids to do that. You may not get much bigger but you will look a lot healthier and stronger with nice curves. Good luck!
If you don't like eating, Ensure plus is probably a good option for you- It's a nutritionally balanced food supplement- 330 cals each and fairly small so not too big a deal to drink a couple a day to help you boost those calorie levels.
So I think that's your challenge.... don't even mess with junk food, it's crap! But really make an effort to taste new things. Not once or twice but lots and lots of times until you broaden your palate. If there's a cookery course going on this summer at your local college how about joining in? Or go out to some good quality restaurants and choose something completely different? Be brave!!! You've got a great incentive... the wedding. But also look beyond that. What happens when you become a mother, for example? Would you like your children to have a wide taste in foods or would you like them to inherit your problems? Worth thinking about.....
Pfft 1700 calories is NOTHING. If you want to gain weight, aim for more like 3000. Very easy to do with cheese and fruit.

Goodness, folks--I thought this was a weight gain forum? What's with everyone complaining they "can't" gain weight and then reporting htey eat half what a normal person easily eats for maintenance?
Ya'll have "weight gain" goals and weight loss intakes!
For starts, eat at least 2500. You'll probably want to build on that if you want to fully regain your health [not just the weight].
Hi everyone!

How can I reduce body fat without running?
