scaruso's thai soup
| 15 | ounces chicken broth |
| 8 | ounces water |
| 4 | kaffir lime leaves |
| 1 | tbsp ginger |
| 1 | chili pepper |
| 1 | tbsp fish sauce |
| 1 1/2 | tsp sugar |
| 2 | scallions |
| 1 | cup sliced cabbage |
| 1 | cup broccoli florets |
| 2 | tbsp lime juice |
| 1 | tbsp cilantro |
| 8 | ounces chicken breast, sliced very thin |
| 2 | ounces rice noodles |
simmer chili, ginger, lime leaves, and lemongrass, if you have it, in broth and water, 15 min. Add fish sauce, sugar, chicken veggies and noodles, simmer 5 min, until chicken and noodles are done. Drizzle over lime juice and cilantro.
