It's not really scary but I like Shaun of the Dead

That depends, do you want to be scared or entertained?

Silent Hill

Dawn of the Dead

The Shining

The Exorcist

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The Hills Have Eyes

The Sixth Sense

Anything with a hill or the word "the" in the title followed by a definite noun would seem suffice. Enjoy!

I recommend all of the following (titles in bold are most recommended):

Alien
Aliens
Predator

(note: no other Alien or Predator movies.  They are god-awful-Fox-****-on-iconic-horror-classics /rant)

Psycho
Halloween
Jaws
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Chucky
Poltergeist
Steven King's IT
The Evil Dead
Evil Dead 2

Pet Cemetery
The Night of the Living Dead
Interview with the Vampire
Near Dark
An American Werewolf in London

(note: no **** Hollywood remakes, please.  After seeing the preview for the Elm Street remake we need to boycott this **** right now).

Evil Dead 2 is my #1 recommendation.  It's a more comedic remake of the more sober and low budget "The Evil Dead".

Have fun!

THE BEST SCARY MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN IS THE HAUNTING OF EMILY ROSE.  YOU COULD NOT GO WRONG WITH THE ORGINIAL HALLOWEEN.  STIGMATIA IS A MOVIE YOU MAY NOT KNOW A LOT ABOUT BUT IT IS REALLY GOOD.

Ginger Snaps

The Lost Boys

Stigmata

The Evil Dead

Army of Darkness

Hard Candy

Nightmare on Elm Street

Phantasm

Orphan (just was released.)

The Hills Have Eyes (New and Old)

Child's Play 1,2, 3 and Bride of Chucky

The Changeling (No, not the one with Angelina Jolie..Lmao..and older movie with George C. Scott and one of my favorites. :))

Pet Semetary

Carrie

Dolls

Inside (originally a french film with subtitles, but they do dub it in english. Very disturbing in a sense and worth checking out.)

The Dentist (kind of comedic. Ha Ha.)

Return of the living dead

Sometimes they come back

Sometimes they come back again

I'll stop there. Ha Ha, but there's a few worth checking out. Have a fun and safe Halloween! :)

if you would like to watch a classic, the shining. I think it is hilarious.

what did you end up renting?  how was it?

My post is too late for Halloween night, but "The Descent" is one of the scariest movies I've seen lately.  It's about a group of women who explore caves.

The Last Unicorn

I agree with this. I've seen it a billion times and it still gives me the creeps.

A recent one was, "The uninvited".

I love all the Redbox horror movies.  I want 'Orphan' but it was gone.

haha seriously? That was not scary at all and I'm a wuss when it comes to horror films. That cave creature was laughable.

What?! Unless we're thinking about completely different movies...the Last Unicorn wasn't that scary - I loved it as a kid, and still do!

If you want to be really horrified go rent "Jesus Camp".  Scariest movie I've seen in a long time.

Gummo is the scariest film ever made.  The creepiest film ever made is Eraserhead.

What did you rent?

I remember my friend telling me about this movie when I was in uni. Her description of it was enough to make me never want to rent it. It sounded like it was more "realistic scary"... if that even makes sense.

Too bad halloween's over :( But anyways... I stayed home and watched Trick 'r Treat! It was pretty good

Drag Me to Hell.

(That's a movie I'm suggesting, not a request)
