You might have to post your favorite snack under 100 calories or tell everyone the nicest compliment you have recieved so far. Message me with your ideas and recieve honorable mention as the week's BIGGEST SCHMOOZER!
This group is all about keeping that postitive attitude throughout your journey. It doesn't matter if you are just starting out or are maintaining, everyone needs someone to lean on now and then. So SCHMOOZE & LOSE with your friends and stay motivated!
WHAT TO EXPECT (GUIDELINES):
- This is a 10 week motivational group. If you feel you cannot endure the full 10 weeks, message me and let me know I don't hound you.
- You must post a Start and Finish weight. If you're not up to posting your weight on certain weeks, that's fine. This is all about staying motivated.
- Mini-challenges will be posted on Sunday. We hope that everyone will take part, but if you don't, there is no pressure. We're here to support you on this journey.
- Feel free to use this group as a place to express yourself - fears, frustrations, worries, goals, triumphs, successes. We are here to support and motivate one another, whether you're doing great or stuggling.

Count me in. I have a goal of wearing a certain skirt (that I wore in the past) by July 25th, one month after this challenge begins. Today I'm irritated because this is my 15th week of CC'ing, I've lost 18 lbs, but both last week and this week the scale told me I had gained two or three back...AND THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE. I haven't overeaten drastic amounts, I've continued to exercise, etc. Up until now, it's been a steady decline each week, even as little as .25 lb some weeks...but last Thursday and today I weighed in at 152.5 when two weeks ago I was a proud 150 (weighed myself on a Friday at 11am, 147 lbs, weighed myself the following Monday at 2pm, 150 lbs...then went on Thursday as usual at 2pm, 152???)! I don't understand, and I'm angry. I know I'm probably being silly, that it's highly doubtful that I gained back two or three pounds, but that's TWICE that the scale told me so.

I think it's time to take body measurements and try to go by inches lost also, so the scale doesn't drive me batty. I should have done that from the beginning. I have no idea how many inches I've lost, just that I'm happy to be able to fit back into many of my old outfits again.
Sounds great. I have only been on CC for about three weeks, and would like the added motivation/support. I live in a part of the country that is not known for its healthy lifestyle (Southern Appalachians), buth their are some unique exercise opportunites (hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smokey Mountain National Park) I just need a little push to actually get out of the house to do it.

Okay, I'll bite ... well, so to speak :)
I've been on CC since January and I'm down around 25 lbs thus far. My goal is another 30 lbs or so away. I'd like to keep peeling off about a pound a week.
So, without further ado, general stats:

I want to sign up - I am in dreadful need of motivation!!
I did pretty good from 2005 to 2008; I manged to lose between 6 and 10 pounds a month, going from about 280 to 185 and staying there. Then something happened last July and I have strayed way off course and back up 30 pounds. I keep knowing I can get back to feeling better with the same good habits that got me there, but I think I need motivation and accountability of some sort this time.
My goal would be to lose 15+ pounds in 10 weeks and be back under 200- yay!

Hi everyone! WOW! Looks like we'll have a lot of new additions to our Schmooze Group if everyone sticks with it. We started with 25 in the first group and are ending with 10 or so. So far we have 36 signups, including me! Should be an interesting group!
As I said in my main description, there are NO GOALS to be met here. Don't bother posting a final weight..it doesn't really matter if you lose or not...just that you stick with it and stay positive!
As for past challenges, we've posted our favorite high fiber recipes, recorded our measurements, divulged our true motivation for losing weight, had water-drinking challenges, found our personal theme song and a few others I can't remember. Please message me if you have any ideas for challenges as I am always struggling to come up with new ones. The weeks seem to fly by!
I update the main post on Sundays so be sure to post your start weights on June 25, 26 or 27. You'll see your first challenge on June 28th!

I'd really like to know what other people's weaknesses are and how they overcome them. Mine is soda! So if I have to go to the store for milk or bread I have to make sure to only bring enough money for that. Maybe a challenge to avoid/overcome your worst weakness? :)
