You might have to post your favorite snack under 100 calories or tell everyone the nicest compliment you have recieved so far. Message me with your ideas and recieve honorable mention as the week's BIGGEST SCHMOOZER!
This group is all about keeping that postitive attitude throughout your journey. It doesn't matter if you are just starting out or are maintaining, everyone needs someone to lean on now and then. So SCHMOOZE & LOSE with your friends and stay motivated!
WHAT TO EXPECT (GUIDELINES):
- This is a 10 week motivational group. If you feel you cannot endure the full 10 weeks, message me and let me know I don't hound you.
- You must post a Start and Finish weight. If you're not up to posting your weight on certain weeks, that's fine. This is all about staying motivated.
- Mini-challenges will be posted on Sunday. We hope that everyone will take part, but if you don't, there is no pressure. We're here to support you on this journey.
- Feel free to use this group as a place to express yourself - fears, frustrations, worries, goals, triumphs, successes. We are here to support and motivate one another, whether you're doing great or stuggling.

My measurements:
- bust - 40.5" now 40: -0.5
- Waist - 38.0" now 37.5": -0.5
- Hips 45.0" now 43.75: -1.25
- Upper Arms - 13.5" now 13.25: -0.25 - much more muscle now!
- Thighs - rt: 25.75 now 25"; lft: 25" now 25" - now they are the same!
I guess overall I can't complain. I went from 175 to 165 and managed to chisel that weight off my hips which is the one part of me that I HATE! I'm now down 60 pounds from when I started...so life is good.
How do I feel? Pretty, sexy, desirable, thin...NOT ASHAMED!!! I also feel like I have to lose those last 11 pounds to get that normal BMI. That was my original goal...though now I'm thinking 145 would look pretty good! Everyone is telling me to stop now, but I still hate that belly and those jiggly thighs and hips.

Hi SChmoozers - I don't have all my measurements from when I started, but I can tell you that when I first measured on June 27 my hips were 50", and they are now at 47", so I have lost 3 inches from my hips in 10 weeks - I'm pretty psyched. I have lost a total of 20lbs. so far...so how do I feel? Pretty damn good! But also pretty damn aware that this is just the first step. I plan on losing around 40 more lbs, but I feel like I am one-third of the way there to my overall goal in terms of weight loss. I also feel...resolute and resilient. I feel like I can do this, that I can make the right choices for myself for the long haul (like the rest of my life). I am 43 years old and this is the most confident and "in-control" I've ever felt about food and my weight in my entire life. I also notice that I can now climb flights of stairs with relative ease that used to leave me feeling breathless and sweaty. I believe that things happen for a reason in life, and only work when you are personally ready for them to work for you, so I love the fact that I happened to stumble across the caloriecount.about.com boards back in June just as I was ready to really make this happen...

How I feel - happy about the loss so far; somewhat disappointed that I did not put more into it; wishing I had stayed with the some of the mini-challenges still; but still excited to be doing and feeling healthier and looking forward to the next 10 weeks too!

Well, I did want to lose 10, but ended up losing 8 - but I am still pretty happy with that. So, in the next 10 weeks, maybe I can achieve my first goal of under 200 again! Every little bit helps.

When I weighed in this morning I was feeling frustrated, because I really wanted to be at or below 184 lbs. I will have lost 20 Lbs from my start date when I am at 184... I will have lost 20% of my start weight when I am at 183.6 Lbs.
But, now I'm feeling happy
It is really nice to look at the change in inches. I feel like I've lost a lot on my waist and thighs.

In the first S&L I lost 9.2 and this round I lost 9.6...seems pretty consistant! Not too worried about that tiny gain as I haven't been drinking my water the way I should. That will be my goal for next week...and to get some exercise EVERY day over this long weekend! I'm off work for the next 5 days - laziness is NOT allowed!

all my measurements stayed the same except my thighs: 25.5" to 24"! i'm making myself do squats and lunges consistently now.
overall, i'm really glad that i didn't backslide at all this summer, and that i had this group to keep me coming back to cc and to remind me that weight loss is a priority this year!
