School Project: Please Help!!!
So.. for school I need to write a persuasive paper. I am doing mine on why people should make exercise a part of their lives. I need to perform a survey.. so.. help me out guys...
1. How often do you exercise?
2. Why do you exercise?
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising?
Thank you everyone!!!!!

2. i exercise to stay in shape
3. i get injured a lot...but thats only because i have the coordination of a drunk on a tightrope.
2. Giggles. If I have a lot of excess energy, I've got to do somethin' with it or else I'll be bouncing off the walls all night.
3. Depends on the kind of exercise and how much I've done it. Since I lost a lot of weight, I haven't injured myself (save a good rug burn or two) at all.
1. How often do you exercise? once per week
2. Why do you exercise? guilty because ate over calorie limit
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising? once
2. Why do you exercise? Well, I like being healthy overall; it's a stress reliever, and it's a time to think while I'm doing something good for myself. I'm trying to get in shape for track season, and previously I was getting in shape for my black belt. Sometimes I did it because it was fun, but now, it's getting a little more boring.
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising? *cough* Erm... Well, I don't know if I can be counted in this respect since I'm in karate, and sparring is part of that. If you mean while exercising, too many to count. If you mean not in karate, not that many, but no idea on specific amount.
2. Why do you exercise? to build muscle, to help my heart, and to lose weight
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising? unless you count blisters from walking too much, never.
1. How often do you exercise?
6 days a week, Cardio for 45 minutes, then about 30 minutes of weight training
2. Why do you exercise?
At first it was all about weight loss. I'm not losing weight, but I feel so good when I do. I sleep better, I feel better, and my depressive thoughts are gone. My skin looks better, I'm stronger, I can take the stairs, and I'm way healthier. Want me to go on? ;-)
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising?
Oh I'm usually sore, but never have been injured.
I'm surprised you don't need demographical information.
Best of luck!
1. I rarely actively "exercise", but I walk everywhere at about 4mph (about 8 miles a day all told, more in the summer) carrying about 20lbs in books.
2. To get from A to B, to get my dogs out, and to unwind.
3. Never. My husband has been once though.
2. I need muscle to fill in my body. I'm a shrimp what can I say :P
3. Once, I hurt my ankles running in wrong shoes.
I exercise to make myself feel less guilty about eating junk, to tone up, to feel better about myself, to sleep better, to keep my temper in check (what I don't exercise I ted to lash out at people, get upset etc), and to be healthier overall
I've never been seriously injured exercising. I had to wear a brace on my wrist for a while when I played tennis after I fell snowboarding, but other than that nothing really.
1. How often do you exercise?; very rarely, as in maybe once a month. I have not made it a priority, but have a new desire to change that and increase frequency to at least once a week.
2. Why do you exercise? When I do, it is usually to have fun by playing a sport such as soccer or raquetball.
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising?. Once. did not stretch before a raquetball game and injured my foot/ankle in a misstep.
Good luck.
1. Three times per week for about 1 hour
2. To lose weight.
3. 0 (Not yet, but I'm new!)
Thank you everyone who has replied so far! Please tell everyone you can... I would like as many responses as possible..
Thanks a Ton!!!!

once a week or less, for about 30 minutes (physical/medical restriction)
2. Why do you exercise?
to relieve stress and to burn some calories.
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising?
hmm... not exactly sure. i'd say a few times.
~good luck =]
1. 4 times a week during the school year, 0 on vacations.
2. To improve my stamina/abilities, to lose weight, for fun
3. 6 times during SPORTS AND RECREATION, 0 times while exercising for 'exercise'.
2. I started to workout to lose weight, but know I've come to really enjoy it. I feel so good when I do.
3. Never been injured. (knock on wood)
1. 5-6 days per week (3 days of cardio, 3 days of cardio + weight training)
2. I love that feeling when you finish a really hard workout. It gets your mind off everything else. It is soooo much fun to see results and watch your strength and endurance improve. I feel guilty if I don't go.
3. Never been injured (good shoes are key!!)
2. Fresh air, to stave off type 2 diabetes (both parents have/had it), had hoped for weight loss but it was really modest (10-15 pounds) even when I walked briskly 30-60 minutes a day
3. I have back pain which started after slipping on an icy sidewalk last February or March, so I guess that one counts as one injury. (Had walked to a store 20 minutes each way for milk and broke the jug! I was so mad!)
2. Why do you exercise? fitness and health. there's a lot of cardiovascular disease in my family
3. How many times have you been injured while exercising? i've had multiple exercise-related injuries (2 concussions, an ankle fracture, and a deep bone bruise to my quad), but all were from getting thrown from horses. other than shin splints, i've never had an injury from any other sport.
edited because i just remembered a minor knee injury from mountain biking.
1. 4-5 days/week
2. to get in better shape & to spend time outdoors
3. 2 concussions (one biking, one playing hockey) and 2 torn ligaments (one playing basketball and one on my way to sailing practice...does that count?)
