You might want to add in your paper that this is an unreliable soure as you are relying on people from the internet, then cross that with the fact that people can lie anyway as you're basing your entire investigation on the belief that your answers are the truth.

What subject is it for btw?

You also might want to define your questions a bit.

1. What do you consider regularly? I exercise for 45 minutes twice a week on an exercise bike, I also walk to work, I also do 15 minute bursts when I can fit them in. I wouldn't consider this regular but I would consider it perhaps just above average. Perhaps you could ask if people exercised for period longer than *insert number here* for *such amount of days* or give a varying amount and ask them to pick one.

2. The above obviously applies again, this also varies as I run in the summer but not util then (i live in britain and it's wet). But running also has conotations of going somewhere, would you count tread mills?

3. Running for exercise, or in general, do you mean as an adult, or would teenage/childhood years count? How much of an injury, I have bruised my hip running before by being bumped into by someone but this was when I was 15 (4 years ago) and not for exercise (i was late) I have also hurt my knee before but not had it diagnosed. Do you mean something that has been diagnosed by a doctor? Is there a certain level of injury?

4. Again in what context? Would it count if you were infrequently? How often? I'd probably say no, although from the ages 11-15 I did cross country, so previously i have ran for 4 years consecutively.

5. You could probably phrase this in a better way, but for the answer, not really, but I'm careful around cars. You might want to ask the person to elaborate depending on their answer.

Good luck on your paper (I'm thankful that I'm in my year out i'm finally done til next year!)

curalium_lacrimo.... this source is reliable for what I need.. I am supposed to conduct a survey.. sure, people can lie, but they could lie if I asked people on the streets.... also, I have research from other areas.. this isn't my only information. the paper is for English.

I need way more responses!!! c'mon guys!

1. Do you exercise regularly? yes, 3-4 sessions of at last an hour and a half a week.

2. Do you run regularly? once a week in the winter, 3-4 times a week in the summer

3. Have you ever been injured while running? I tripped once and smacked my knee pretty hard, a few nasty blisters from new shoes and my knee gets really sore if I run the day after I lift weights

4. Have you been running for over 3 years? no

5. Are you ever worried about getting hurt by someone else while running? (i.e. getting hit by a car, kidnapped..etc.) not really. Although, I bring a cell phone if its really early or late just to be cautious.

1. Do you exercise regularly? Yes

2. Do you run regularly? No

3. Have you ever been injured while running? No

4. Have you been running for over 3 years? n/a

5. Are you ever worried about getting hurt by someone else while running? (i.e. getting hit by a car, kidnapped..etc.) If i did run outdoors, I would be worried about being attacked or something like that.  Getting hit by a car - I doubt it.

Thank you for all responses so far... keep 'em coming!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I will get a ton more responses. I have 26 responses on the original post....
first, i don't really appreciate getting screamed at because you screwed up your assignment and are now up against a deadline.  but i will respond, because the sooner you get 20, the sooner this goes away.

1. Do you exercise regularly? I try to. I work out at least 3 times a week, but I'm shooting for 5-6 times a week.

2. Do you run regularly? I'm beginning to. I used to hate running (it was really uncomfortable and kind of painful), but I'm starting to enjoy it. I want to push myself to become better at it.

3. Have you ever been injured while running? Other than a mild cramp, no.

4. Have you been running for over 3 years? No way! I used to hate running.

5. Are you ever worried about getting hurt by someone else while running? (i.e. getting hit by a car, kidnapped..etc.) I used to run outside in a park next to the river, and I did have some concerns because the area has been known for homeless people, druggies and who-knows-what. Because of that, I stuck to daylight hours (afternoon) running on well-traveled paths that almost always had at least one other person in sight on the path.

1. no (not by my definition of exercise anyhow)

1. Do you exercise regularly? Yes

2. Do you run regularly? Yes

3. Have you ever been injured while running? Not seriously, just muscle strains

4. Have you been running for over 3 years? Yes, but I didn't run as regularly as I do now

5. Are you ever worried about getting hurt by someone else while running? (i.e. getting hit by a car, kidnapped..etc.) No
1. Do you exercise regularly?

Right now, only about 3x's per week. When the weather gets nicer I'll up this to 4-5x's. That's probably about my limit though. I need rest days.

2. Do you run regularly?

Yes (see above). Currently logging about 8-10 miles a week.

3. Have you ever been injured while running?

Yes

4. Have you been running for over 3 years?

Hmm... currently, I have been running continuously since, let's see, October of 2006. Prior to that, I have an on and off again running career since my late 20s, due to back injuries, I've had some very long layoffs. Longest continuous stretch of running without a significant break was a period of about 5-6 years.

5. Are you ever worried about getting hurt by someone else while running? (i.e. getting hit by a car, kidnapped..etc.)

Yes, I worry about getting hit by cars and buses (I live in an urban area so this is a reality). I also worry about getting tackled or chased or bit by dogs. I do not worry about being kidnapped. I do worry about getting mugged or raped (esp since I don't run all that fast!!) but on prinicple I don't run in lonely or dark areas where that would be an issue.

I did once get tackled by a very big dog. Never saw him coming - I landed flat on my face with two big paws on my upper back. Thought I was being tackled by a rapist. Skinned my knees. Etc. Despite a long-time terror of dogs, I went right out again the next day... and that was when I knew I was really a runner. ;-)

Couple more maybe! Thanks for all the responses so far!!!!

5. Are you ever worried about getting hurt by someone else while running? (i.e. getting hit by a car, kidnapped..etc.) no. well once i was at a hotel in Oregon and they have a bike trail. they rent out bikes. i forget the name of it but it follows the river. a very nice paved trail that has about 5 parks on the route. anyway i get up at 6am and started running. nothing new because i run daily at home. but at home i run along the road. on the sidewalk. cars everywhere. i got about a mile into it and thought, "you know this  is not too smart. i am on a wooded trail in a town i don't know" i started to feel scared. there was no road next to me. no people. i turned around and RAN back. my heart rate monitor going off like crazy. i was always careful after that. i only run on sidewalks that are busy when alone and with someone on trails.

hope this helps

right... I was only trying to help as your questions can lead to many different answers depending on how a person looks at the question.

next time I wont waste time on someone who doesn't appreciate it.

Btw - I said you should MENTION that the internet is seen as a unreliable source but is in fact just as reliable as elsewhere. Next time read responses properly before taking offense. This is all just what I've had drilled into me when taking my Alevels and doing coursework for what seems like 2 years straight.
