after school snacking!
I eat pretty good during breakfast and lunch, but when I come home from school, I just eat A LOT! I try and stay away from the kitchen but i always end up eating tons of food. Any tips on how to stay away from the food?!
keep yourself busy/occupied. do your homework? go on a walk? try not to think about food.
also try to have a good sized snack when you get home that has fiber and protein to keep you full for longer. maybe a protein shake or banana with peanut butter or fruit (fiber) and a cheese stick (protein) or tuna salad if you like it.
i have this problem too...im busy in school and away from being able to snack constantly so im fine but when i get home, the food is right there and i attack it.

Yeah, and my mom likes to buy us really bad junk food so I'm going to start going to the store with her and but more healthy foods.![]()
I have the same problem but with me, it's snacking after lunch and before dinner. I bought myself a popcorn maker today because air popped popcorn is yummy, filling and low-cal.
I have the same problem as you ( and I'm a lot older LOL
) I work in the school system. This is how I cope with that time: I have a glass of skim milk ( helps to stabilize Blood sugar I'm not a big lunch eater) before I leave school. I leave school and go straight to the gym - not hungry when I finally arrive at home, I go for a walk, eat a 100 calorie bag of popcorn, get on my treadmill at home, make a cup of coffee and savor 1 piece of dark chocolate with it.
My suggestion would be to use that time for your exercise - it keeps me from eating.

Just eat some fruit and alot of water. And then occupy your mind , go for a walk or do homework or something. :)
