It's Okay ....;)

Moderation is key. Just don't eat too many :) I do it all the time hahaha!!

It's okay to indulge every now & then!!! It makes it easier to stick to a diet if you treat yourself every once in a while!! (P.S. I had to look up what a chip butty was- i was clueless- sounds yummy!!!)

Don't start me off .... i could kill a chip butty right now ... chips from the local chippy ... loads of salts and vinagar !!! yum !!!!

I offically hate you .. i really really want a chip butty now !!! argh

Sorry for giving you a craving!

You could do it healthily? Baked chips and wholemeal bread?

xXx

Ohhh but its just not the same

What the heack is a chip butty? Never heard of it.

Not sure but last night I had several beer butties Cool

~H~

Also didnt recognize the term - thought because your angry, maybe a similar term to 'chip on your shoulder' .
When I have chip butties I usually go through 1/2 a loaf (or more) of white bread! And heaps of chips. I don't think it would be the same having a healthy version! You are forgiven.

OK - let me explain this gourmet meal to you Americans - missing out on soo much....First you need proper chippy chips - big, thick and yummy (kind of like "fries" but chunkier, and crispier).  Then butter two thick slices of soft white bread, and make a sandwich ("buttie").  Ketchup, vinegar,  and salt are all optional condiments on this particular English / Irish delicacy.  A gazillion ca lories, too many carbs and fat grams and sodium to even count.  A wee piece of heaven (drool, sob cos can't possibly have one.....)

you know i knew there was a reason i could never ever ever leave the uk ... chip butty's !!!! serously you have not lived till you have consumed waaaay too many carbs and fat via this wonderful brit grub.

Oh crap - I'm seriously craving one now!  And I have not eaten chips or white bread in years.

I don't like chips, but even I'm craving one of those right now! Also, yay to UK/Irish terms, with all the American foods mentioned on these boards, it's nice to see a touch of home popping up every so often :)

I'd never heard of one before, but now that I have, I will be tempted to give one a go sometime - will save it for my cheat day.  Sounds delicious, I am sure it goes well with quite a generous helping of butter on the bread.

real butter......

yes ,,, HAS to be real butter and lots of it!!!

and the chips have to be THICK !!!! seriously if you get more than 6 or 8 chips out of your potato they are too thin ... at least 1/2 an inch thick !!!

^^ Although I'd have added more ketchup and/or mayo. Oh, and pepper. Lots of pepper.
