seasonique??? birth control

I am supposed to start this with my next period. Does anyone have any experience with it. Did it make you gain weight, was there a lot of spotting, stuff like that. Any information would be great. Thanks!

I'm on seasonal... is that the same? i looked at that website and it looked the same, but i had a purple container...

anyhow.. I LOVE IT!!! I have a generic kind now but I still only get my period 1x every 3 months. It's great... I'm not sure about weight gain b/c I started birth control when I was 19 and that just happened to be around the time I gained weight anyways... so I don't think I can blame it on that.

I was also on birth control for about 2 years before switching to seasonal so I didn't experience a lot of spotting. However... towards the end of the 3 month pack I do get very minor spotting. But it's pretty consistent and I've been on this for about a year and a half.

I can't say I've had any problems but I think it matters how your body reacts. My friend can't even go on any birth control b/c of her body's reactions...

You'll have to try it and if you have any major issues consult the doctor...

but now I can plan things like camping and lots of activities without worrying about any surprises or setbacks :) best of luck!!

I don't use that, but I do take my pills on a continuous cycle. (same principle).
I skip my green week and so, effectively, do not have a period, ever.
I do this under my doctors care and recommendation, just so you know :)
It is perfectly healthy and safe.  I do not experience any TOM symptoms. No cravings, water retention, etc.
My dr. did recommend I actually take the placebo week the next pack following any spotting I might see.  Spotting basically lets me know it's time to (sorry, but don't know how to say this any more delicately) "clean house".

So, the way I take my pill is pretty much the same way and for the same purpose as the Seasonal or Seanonique. It still allows you the quarterly period as means of keeping everything "clean".  I take the green week 1 or 2x a year.

I absolutely LOVEEEE seasonique. I have had like 1 day of spotting threw out the whole thing. I don't know how i lived without it before!

I'm on the seasonal stuff. Occassionally I'll get my period in the middle of my 3 month cycle. What sucks about that happening, is that my period then lasts for something like 2 weeks. Generally, I like this stuff.

i HATED seasonique. the estrogen level was so high that my body went haywire. my water weight went through the roof, my mood went sour, i was tired all the time, more depressed... basically every poor side effect that could happen on this pill happened to me. i hope it works for you- i'm bummed that i couldn't use it and have to use a monthly, but whatever happens you will find a pill that will work for you and keep you comfortable :) - for me it was Yaz.

I love being on this birth control pill.. although everyone is affected different I gained 20 pounds in the past year that i have been on it.  I weighed 130 and now I weigh 150.  I went to the doctor and she said that becuase of taking the pill everyday there might be too much hormone in it for the body.  She might put me on something with less hormones in it.  Birth Control pills affect everyone differently.  Let me know what you think about being on the pill.

is it anything like annuale?

I had not heard of it.  I might get off of birth control becuase i have a wedding next year and cannot have any more weight gain on top of what the pill have already done to my body.  Let me know if you find one that helps you lose weight.
