My second home is the toliet lol
So now that i have started my diet (which is mostly fruits, vegtables and water) i pee ever hour yesterday no joke i went to the toliet 9 times!!!
its starting to annoy me becasue i hate usuing work toliets, public toliets and friends toliets... Im just too self concouis.. ( i have only just started blowing my nose infront of people)
at tafe i had to go to the toliet 2x and i messed 2 key points in accounting!!!!
does anyone else have to go toliet because of alot because of large water consumption?? Will the frequency stop?
a good key point is now im very hydrated! (you can tell by the colour of your pee, yellow=bad clear=hydrated) ![]()
sorry for grossing everyone out..
As a matter of fact, I have to pee REALLY BAD right now! ha ha ha! I drink tons of water, tea & coffee and I have to agree with you, I pee A LOT! I think it's a healthy habit yet I do see your point on it getting kind of annoying! As long as you're not drinking liquids full of sugar & artificial ingredients you are just fine!
Yeah. I drink 80-100 oz a day of water (less than 20 oz of that being unsweetened tea at brekkie and lunch). I pee a lot. It's good for you. It's annoying at first, but at least
...Your skin is going to look amazing.
...Your body isn't storing loads of nasty toxins and filth.
...You give yourself plenty of little stretch breaks throughout the day (making trips to the wc) that you would probably otherwise ignore.
After a while, you won't notice the frequency as much, and if your employer's start to complain you could always get a note from a doctor stating you need to drink so much water a day or some bull like that. :DD
I read somewhere that you really don't have to go by the 8x8 rule for drinking water necessarily, especially if you are eating a lot of water rich foods. It said that you should just drink enough water till your pee is fairly clear, and that its not necessary to drink so much you're always going to the bathroom. Maybe you don't need as much water as you think you do since you're eating all those fruits and veggies?
haha, i know what you mean. i drink a ton of water also and seem to live on the toilet! when you first up your water consumption, you tend to pee 24/7. after a while though, your body will get used to it and you won't go as much. keep it up! ![]()
Yeah I know what you mean. I motabolize water really fast, so even if I don't drink alot of water I have to go to the bathroom soon after! It kind of sucks. It is a true fact that girls have smaller bladders than men and urinate more often (I learned that on in class).
Anyways, I know how you feel. I have to go often.

hi Jamroo, I eat ALOT of veggies and fruit which are all water based.. hehe :)
Same here. I drink at least one 'big glass' I have no idea how many ounces it is...at least 30oz. Anywho...I drink one big glass per meal.
But water is your friend :p
Yes, unfortunately its something that you will have to live with. The cost of hydration, it will not go away with frequency.
I drink 4-6 quarts of water a day, I think of the 5 mins I take to go to the bathroom at work like a break, it only takes but a minute to go, but the spending 5 mins on "bathroom break" is usually acceptable...
You will eventually get over it and your body will thank you for the extra water.
Don't drink so much water... No-one needs to be drinking litres and litres of the stuff. It's a fashionable thing at the moment to do so but it's completely unnecessary unless you live/work in a very hot environment or if you have a strenuous job or you're exerting yourself physically. If you're peeing all the time that's because the water you're drinking is excess to requirements. One or two extra litres of fluids spread over the course of a day are plenty, especially if you're eating fruit and vegetables. Use your commonsense.

You motabolize water? You're not saying that you pee a moat around yourself are you? ![]()
Metabolism is the set of processes that help maintain life; these processes generally fall into two categories: catabolism and anabolism. Catabolism is the break down of substances for energy, an example of catabolism is the breakdown of glucose into ATP. Anabolism is the formation of substances that are needed within the body, an example of anabolism is the formation of muscle proteins from amino acids.
You don't metabolize water. Your body uses water in many of its processes. Your body regulates the amount of water in your cells, and in your blood in order to maintain a very narrow range of electolyte concentrations that allow you to remain alive.
It is a true fact that girls have smaller bladders than men and urinate more often? (as opposed to a false fact, I assume)
Are you comparing children to adults or are you comparing males and females? I can hold my urine much, much longer than my bf can. We joke that he has a bladder the size of a chipmunk's.
I used to be really bad about waiting to go to the bathroom, because of my job and not being able to leave my desk (i had to answer phones), but I've since found out that holding it is not good for you and can lead to UTIs or other problems. So I try to make myself go when I first feel like I have to go.
A lot of people are chronically dehydrated and don't realize it. Some of those people eat food because they think they're hungry, when they're really thirsty. But just look in the toilet bowl after. If it's very yellow, try drinking a little more (or cut back on your vitamins -- you're peeing them out). If your pee is about clear, you can cut back on water a little, or maintain your current intake if you want.
I'm quoting this from a research based source:
"Another approach to water intake is the "8 x 8 rule" — drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day (about 1.9 liters). The rule could also be stated, "drink eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day," as all fluids count toward the daily total. Though the approach isn't supported by scientific evidence, many people use this basic rule as a guideline for how much water and other fluids to drink.......if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) or more of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably adequate."

Of course if you're in hot or humid weather or are exercising, up the intake. You also want to space your water intake over at least several glasses throughout the day.
I used to drink tons and tons of water. I had to pee constantly and it was so annoying. I'm not sure exactly how much water I drank a day, but I know it was way more than the recommended amount. I went to my doctor to get routine bloodwork done and it showed that my potassium and electrolytes were low due to the amount of water I had been drinking! My doctor also told me that drinking too much water can cause brain swelling. Water is a great thing but you have to be careful how much you take in.
I don't drink tons of water, but I do drink between 1 and 2 litres a day and right after I drink I have to pee. So maybe if you time the water a bit better you won't have to miss out on what's going on in accounting.
Luckily I work out of my boss's house and his wife keeps the downstairs toilet spotlessly clean and it's also decorated in a lovely way and even has a scented candle burning... but I have to go into the house from the office to use it, and the worst part is when I arrive at work and have to go straight away! Also if there are people sitting in the family room and I have to go more than 2 times... I usually mumble something about drinking lots of water.
Water is definitely a good thing, and the more I drink the better I feel, but there is a limit and mine is no more than 2 litres a day. The frequency probably won't stop so just don't drink quite so much :)
I don't drink tons of water and I still pee constantly! I know I should be drinking more, but I got to the bathroom too often already ![]()
(and yes I brought this to the attention of a doctor, who couldn't find any underlying health issue)
Wow I was thinking about this all day yesterday I Pee so much! probably twice as much as you mentioned!
