Ok, It is now 4:00 pm and I am absolutly starving.
Here is what I had today.

1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese with 100 g of starwberry yogurt, 12 grain toast with one tbsp of almond butter and a small banana.
AM Snack:

2 cup of spagetti squash with 1/4 cup of Healthy choice pasta sauce
PM Snacks:
Peach
2 kiwis
Motts unsweeten apple sauce with one tablespoon of pumpkin seeds
2 oz of almonds
1 crandberry apple granola bar
And here I am now still starving... and I know, I can feel it, that tonight I will have the urge to binge!!!! :( I usually try to eat between 1500 to 1700 calories perday. I am now at 1436 calories and I havent had dinner yet. :( I really don't want to binge tonight, I have been alowing myself treats here and there lately and I had a few binge days a the past couple weeks. :(
What should I do?
I'd just bet that most people who respond to this will say you're eating too much fruit in comparison to everything else.
is there really a such thing as too much fruit? :) but maybe add more protein...
The fruit is a bit high from the afternoon snacking, which is probably because you were starving from the totally lame lunch you ate!
2 cup of spagetti squash with 1/4 cup of Healthy choice pasta sauce - This is like 150calories 4g fiber and 2g protein, qualifying it as a snack not lunch. You need to add more fiber and protein into your lunch and aim for 400-500 calories. Then you won't starve all afternoon.
Hunger is a very slipperly slope, once I am officially "hungry" there is no way for me to keep calories down. I plan my meals and my snacks and I eat them no matter what to prevent the hunger from hitting and triggering a binge.
For the rest of today try to aim for maintenance calories, tomorrow don't make the same mistake :P
I agree with the previous posters. You need more protein to keep that hunger down, and you need to finish the day as best you can - don't try to "Make up".
I wanted to add, sometimes when this happens to me it is best to go ahead and have a sensible dinner so I can stop the hunger, even if it is an hour early. Not always possible, but it does seem to help.
Yep I really think its the sugar from all the fruit, your blood sugar levels will be like a rollercoaster over the course of the day, you get that hit, and its soars for a short time, then bam, plummets again and you're starving, more protein based snacks throughout the day should sustain you better
I know this is a late answer, and I hope everything went well, but I would agree with many others, not enough protien!
I'm hypoglycemic (a backwards diabetic) and I know that if I ate all the sugar you had (even natural healthy sugars) I too would be absolutely starving! My diet always has to be low sugar, high protein (limits a lot of fruit snacks!) so I've had to come up with some substitutions...If you're looking for some high protein things, I'd suggest peanut butter. You can buy it in individual cups for taking to work, and you can put a little bit on celery, or toast, or crackers.
It may not be as low calorie as you're hoping, but worth it in my opinion to prevent binging! Plus, individual cups that some peanut butter companies sell are a good serving size, so you don't have to worry about having too much.
Also, a hard boiled egg is an awesome snack. Pretty healthy (I believe about 70 calories, though I'm not sure), and again, easy to take with you if you want an afternoon snack at work.
You can also make your own beef (or turkey or whatever meat you like) jerky. Store jerky tends to be over priced and has lots of extra sugars. By investing a food dehydrator (which I'm sure you'd use with all the fruit you seem to like) you can make your own jerky, and you control the calories you put into it. Check out some tutorials online on making jerky. I've made some before (from some online instructions) and it tasted great! Much better than store brands even!
Hope this helps some time in the future.
Thanks everyone! :)
From now on I will eat more protein and try to slow down on the fruit intake.
Hi, this reply is is after really great advice that I also follow; the plan of eating mostly protien, then fiber, then fat in that order of amount to keep me sustained. I also would like to add that since I started dieting, I can't wait until my husband comes home at 6:30 for dinner. By then I have no energy to cook! So I eat my dinner at 4:30, and then sit with the family for dinner and eat a small portion. Its probably not great advice family wise, but it does keep me from crashing in the evening. Then the TV snack before bed is a popcorn made by throwing kernals in a brown paper lunch bag with powder parm. cheese mix sprinkled on top. mmmm.
