I'm really not sure if i trust this expenditure tool.
I dont know why, i just want to be certain.
It says on sedentary days I burn 1700 cals.
I'm female, 5'7 and weigh 135.
and on light activity days, I burn 2000.
the thing i'm not sure about is if my days are sedentary or light. today, for instance, I went to school. I did not exercise or anything. I just went to school from 8-3, came home, walked down the street to the grocery store, came home. Got online, you know. House stuff. Is that sedentary?
And tomorrow, i'm going to work from 10-6. I work at a restaraunt so i will be on my feet almost the whole time, not moving too fast, but on my feet for a good 8 hours. Then i'll come home and chill here. If I didnt work out, would that still be a sedentary day? I just want ot make sure i'm getting the deficit I want...

Hi :)
Right now you are transitioning from teenager to adult and almost still growing.
The calculators here are for adults. The international standards for teenagers (age 19 and younger) are different because teens are still growing. Maybe it will give you some extra information to consider:
I have one and love the plan ~ it answered a lot of basic questions and gave me a good guideline for eating...
Cheers,

Hey rezaiasl,
I think seeing a nutritionist would be a wonderful idea. I have and most are able to weigh you on a bmi scale that prints off your basal metabolic rate...the caloric intake you need to maintain your weight. Now I have alot of weight to loose but on this site it says for sedentary around 2700 calories...and my bmr is 2200 on the nutritionist scale..so if I was only doing a 500 cal defecit based on cc I would be eating at maint and not loosing any weight except when I exercise. The tools here are a generalization and not specific to you...so I say go for it! See a nutritionist.
