Time for all of us older members to get to know each other. All the youngsters have made themselves known so now it's our turn.
I was 65 in April, 2007, and happily retired.

Hi! It's nice to play with kids my own age! I'm 53 and a half. I love being older. Once I turned 50 I decided I don't have to look good. I just have to look good for my age! I've been coming to CCP for only a couple of weeks now but I'm really hooked on the nutritional analysis. My goal is to drop 20 to be healthy and I'm using that low glycemic index diet (Dr's orders). Is anyone else out there trying this method?
Hi Longwalker:
I would love to get into your challange. I want to lose 15 pounds too.
My CW is 181
My GW is 165
I've already lost 70 pounds. This last 15 pounds will bring me to my goal weight.
I can weigh in on Sunday too and report in each week. Thanks.
Betty Jo
I'm already out the door for my walk. Water, Water, Water don't forget the Water.
WE CAN DO THIS!
Good Morning Everyone:

My next mini goal is to make it to 175 by end of September.

Hi everyone! I turned 60 August 9th. - went skydiving for my birthday! I'm proud to say that I consider myself like a fine wine! Life life to the fullest!! That's what keeps us YOUNG! Good luck to all of you are are loosing weight - I think this web site is great for support. I'm just trying to be the healthiest I possibly can be.
Personally, Married to a New Yorker - which is a hoot, since I'm a Texan..! That's a long story...! I have 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters, used to raise TX Longhorn cattle, now drive a school bus (call me crazy!), hubby and I ride our Goldwing everywhere, garden, sail, paint, scrapbook. Have a dog and a cat.
Why don't you make this an official GROUP? It would be easier to find. I love the posts.
Always lived in National Parks?? I'm jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some of you may remember me...I've been around since early 2007, but I've been away from my computer for most of the summer. About my pix -- I really did not run away to the nunnery! I had a minor role in a community production of Sound of Music this summer. I'm 75, so I'm among the oldest on this site.
Good Morning to all, Betty Jo you are doing great!!!!!! Keep it up. I lost my two lbs and going for that 3lbs to report on Sunday. Didn't go walking this morning had a muscle spas on my back last night and man does that hurt I have some heat on it right now and stretching I feel
pain. I'll be taking some Motrin soon cause I can not take this much longer.
As for the water I am drinking has helped drop the weight. eating leafy veggies and chicken. Had some peanuts for my snack. Been going around pricing for bike. I would like to be able to ride a bike and still doing my walking.

60 here - hello everyone. I'm anxious to discuss things particular to our mature ages....so let's get started!
My biggest beef right now is loosing skin elasticity. I exercise regulalry, do some weights, etc. but nothing changes the skin...bummer! If any of you know anything that helps, let me know.
It's nice to see this old thread revived. The Group is growing fast - there are a lot of us here, all trying our best to get healthier and meet people.
Stop on by 60s 70s and Higher! We made it an official group soon after CC added that feature.
I've given up on skin elasticity. It was stretched over 50 excess pounds that are gone now. It's gonna sag, so let it. I have too many other things to have fun with. It does make me glad I don't have any tattoos though.
Good Morning, Since October 08 I have gained 14 lbs. I am so angry. I have started watching calories and keep with a walking schedule. It has been very stressful around here with family being laid-off from their jobs and another days cut. But, we continue to help each other.
SOMEBODY has to come and take me out of here or I just lock myself up in the house all day! I have to get out and walk. Please push me out of here!
