Has your sense of taste or smell changed?
I have heard people say that can't stand the idea of a greasy cheese burger, sweets, salty food, ________ ever since they have started dieting and exercising.
Do you feels that's true for you?
Do you think your sense of smell has changed?
Perfumes no longer smell good like they used to? maybe prefer different kinds of perfumes?
I am very sensitive to salt. I can taste even the smallest amount and I can't stand it.
I also can't stand the smell (or taste for that matter) of anything fried, especially chicken. Its like I can smell the grease in the air. Yuck.

And the food I used to like is even more enjoyable since I realize "this is something special" when I'm eating it.
That's how I am too now.
Also, I'm not really able to stand the smell of cooking, especially greasy foods.
My sense of smell has definitely changed. However, I have to attribute that to quitting smoking. I've also noticed since I quit smoking greasy foods taste "greasier" and salty foods are saltier tasting.
i grew up in a family that always put sugar on their cereal and dipped strawberries in cream and sugar before eating it. salt on everything at the dinner table.
now i have to ask for the dressing of my salads to be put on the side because i cannot stand the drench of salty flavor. i think there is no sweetness as good as a perfectly ripe fruit. don't get me wrong, i still like sweets, but too much sugar at a time and i can feel it coating and cutting my tongue in a distasteful manner.
smell on the other hand...
i avoid fast food and it gives me terrible runs if i try to eat more than a few bites. i know some vegetarians hate the smell of meat but i still think it smells good. i cook meat for my fiance on a regular basis so i usually gauge what it may "taste" like by smell. i love smelling bakeries and coffee more though.
i think it's not so much the sense, but the sensITIVITY that has changed...? I find myself liking blander food more, cause foods that are too loaded with sugar/salt tends to make my mouth feel funny... like it's on overdrive. and by the time i finish my food, i end up with a stinging/paralysed feeling in my mouth that doesn't go away unless i wash it out with tea or water... >"<
I've still got a cast iron stomach though... I've almost never puked or got the runs from food that my stomach can't handle. >"<
