Hi! My name is Tammy, 44 yrs old, married with 2 kids ages 22 and 16.
I've been on this journey for 1 yr and 10 months. A loooooong time! One day I'll get to my goal. I know I will!
I weigh myself on Fridays. So that's when I will be weighing in.
I walk atleast 4 miles everyother day. I do a little weight lifting at home (back permitting) and wall push ups every day.
I can't wait to meet some new friends and maybe some old friends will join this with me.

Hi...My name is Monica, I'm 32 years old, single no kids.
I started on August 10th 2009 and have lost 12.6 lbs in 2 weeks. I weigh on Mondays.
My starting weight was 376 and so my physical activity is kind of limited. I walk at least 1 mile everyday.
I can't wait to read everyone else's great losses each week!! Best of luck everyone!!
Edit: I realized that I signed up for two of these challenges, but for convenience's sake I'm only go to record in one. Good luck every one, I wish you the best :)
My name's Lisa, I'm 18, 5'8 and 312lbs. I'm happily almost engaged. I'm starting Cooking school September 1st 2009. I've never really wanted to lose weight but when my boyfriend brought up the idea of getting married I decided to jump on the wagon. Since then (about 3 weeks ago) I've lost 15 pounds but I'm afraid that going to cooking school and having to make everything I shouldn't eat will make my resolve falter.
Currently I'm doing Tony Horton's 10 minute training program and taking long walks with my boyfriend. I eat what I want, but I'm starting to pay attention to my portions and what I'm putting into my body.
I weigh in on fridays.
Hey i'm 14, i'm 5'7" and i weigh 160lbs, by the end of september i'd like to be back under 11stone :D I've put on weight over the summer, so my school uniform is gonna b tight!!
hiya, i'm 21 and I'm looking to lose around 22lbs and winter is horrid.
In fact, the past month has been too, I've gained - so, it's time to do this properly.
Hi, I am Ali and I am new to CC. I will be 22 September 16th, so I would like to see some positive weight loss by then. Weight has always been an issue in my life because I have an unhealthy relationship with food. Deprivation and binging used to be my cycles, now I am looking forward to creating a lifestyle that I can maintain and keeping myself at a healthy weight so that I can feel good about myself and live a fuller life.
Oh yeah, I am 5'6", and I currently weigh 200 lb.
HI, I'm in!. My name is Meg and I am new to CC. I joined last week at 175lbs and have lost 6lbs by counting calories and walking 2 miles a day. I am 26 yrs old and a married mother of a 2.5 year old boy. Im looking to get back to my pre college weight of 120lbs. I'm happy to be joining all of you on this journey. Good Luck!
Hi I am in. My name is Archie. I am 27 years old. Married and working in software consulting company. I joined Calorie count in last week. My weight is 127 pounds. I want to loose 10 pounds. And it is becoming very difficult now to loose one extra pond. I don't know what to do? I was 145 in last October. I lost 18 pounds with diet and aerobics exercise. Now I want to loose 10 more pounds. Please help me to achieve this target. As I am Indian I eat very less protein and more of fat and carbs.
Now I am going to Bally fitness center. I do elliptical for half an hour and then biceps and triceps and abs work. Sometimes I also go for the steps class or Kickboxing class. I joined Bally in last week. I am still not going regularly. I am taking some classes to Community College on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So I will not workout on those days. I have to back on track as I wanted to loose 10 pounds in next 4 months. I wanted to give surprise to my husband for his graduation party.
I generally weigh on Saturday Morning.
So let’s make it. Lets loose some pounds before winter comes....I will let you know on 1st Sept how much I weigh in?

Hi everyone! My name is Laura. I am 40, married, no kids, & work in marketing for a large company.
I joined CC over a year ago and have lost 32 pounds. It's been a very slow progress but it's progress! I am 5'6" and weigh 205. I want to finally get below 200 for the first time in a long time.
I don't work out as much as I should so my goal is to get motivated and find a way to fit working out into my daily routine.
I will weigh in on Friday's. Good luck!
My name is Lulu. I am the stay at home mom of four kids ages five and under. I am approx. 185 pounds, 33 years old and a shortie at only 5' 2" (on a good day) and have been on this weight loss journey for over a year. I have not had much luck this time around. I am hoping that perhaps September will be my month to make that great start.
My name is Anna and I'm from a small small country in Northen Europe, called Estonia, population is only 1.3 million people :) We have lots of forest and free space here. I am 19 years old and leaving to university in England soon.
I have always had trouble with eating, and been trying to diet since I was 10 years old, but I have problem with binge eating and I lose control. I lost 20 lbs 3 years ago by starving myself. I never gained it back until this year, now i'm almost at my starting weight and slowly keep gainin (omg I just don't know how!). But I decided that now I want to lose the weight healthy way :)
Height: 5"4
Weight: 159 lbs
Goal Weight: 119 lbs
And I weigh myself every single day, it works for me, but for my weight-in day I choose Thursday. :)
So nice to "see" so many sign up! Lets keep this going! C'mon! Sign up! We can do this together!
I went to the store today and bought things for salads. I made a huge salad when I got home and it just tasted so good. ;)
My big goal for this challenge is not to eat after 7pm. Unless its some fruit. I love to eat fruit in the evenings.
Good luck to everyone who signed up. Come back and "chat" whenever you want.
Hey! I'm Tanya and I'm 16 years old. I started my weight loss journey in the beginning of June at 5'7 and 192.5 pounds. Since then, I've gotten down to the 70s/low 80s, but have developed a big problem with binging, which has been keeping me from getting to the 60s. Today is the 12th straight day that I've gone without binging, which may not sound like a lot, but is quite an accomplishment for me. Before, I would go maybe 3 days at a time with a balanced diet, then lose control on the 4th. So now my goal for this challenge is not only to get down to the 60s - and eventually to my ultimate goal weight of 150 pounds -, but to also refrain from bingeing.
My workout plan for now is pretty much 3 days a week of both cardio and weights. However, once school starts, I will have rowing practice 5-6 days a week for 3 hours a day.
I weigh myself every day, but I will try to post my weight every Friday.
Hi all great to read your posts.
I see lots of me in them. Marjg here 57y/o 5'7" 190lb (i think, explain another time) children grown with children. weighed 150 in October of 08 now at approx 190. Got depressed & sat down in October and ate and ate and ate . Didn't get up until late July this year. Carb addict. Trying to find core issue of why I over eat. Binge at times. Not working by choice (kinda. hubby sick) used to interesting job and miss it but not the politics. Willing to try different suggestions to change. Goal: Size 14 by family Christmas party (Dec 12th). Committ to getting accurate weight and new scale by September. Love & light, M
Welcome Marj and WMS2009! Nice to have you!
I've been working on not eating at night. I've done well, so far. Trying to see how long I can go. It's been 5 days now of no eating after 7pm! I think its helping with the number on the scale too.

I lost 2 punds......
I weighed myself after two weeks. From now onwards I will weigh on Saturday..... I think still 8 pounds to go........

Nest week will be no sweet ....lets see how I will do.... will let you know on Saturday.......
Welcome Archie! Good luck on the no sugar in your diet. I try that too and I use artificial sweetener also. Sometimes I get sugar in the foods I eat, but sometimes you can't help it. But no cookies or junk food for me. It's the only way I can lose weight.
