oh okay! how old aare you?

heh I haven't had mine for a year and half or maybe a year and about two months. (Me and my mom have disputes about the last time I had mine) I know a girl who'll be 15 in july and she's never had hers. You're still young. It's normal for it to be irregular and it has only been two months. Consider yourself lucky.
double post. sorry.
hey thats normal. we're still so young!!! in the first 2-3 years your cycle will be irregular.
dont worry, i have gone 8 monthes without having mine. It is irregular at first for the first year or so.
yea when I was 12 (i got mine when I was 11) I remember not getting it for like 9 to 10 months
Oh i envy you guys! I started at 12 and i never missed more then 2 periods for the first year and never more then one consecutive period in the second and third. And when i did have them they would last about 8 days! Oh they were a pain!! (i speak in past tense cos i went on depo for 2 years and came off depo and havnt had a period in like 9/10 months woooohoooo!
hey girls, it's totally normal to have an irregular cycle, especially if you're in your early to mid teens.
however, a common reason young ladies miss their periods is because they are not eating enough or are exercising too much. be careful with both of these unhealthy habits!! starving yourself causes all systems of the body to stop working properly, including to reproductive system.
okay, done with my lecture. :) i really hope that is not the case with all of you!!!

I think it's normal. I got my first period when I was 12 and then it was a whole year before I got it again. Even when I finally started getting "regular" periods they were never "regular". I'd skip a month or two here and there and the duration would sometimes last a full week other times it would only be a day. I never became "regular" until I started taking birth control pills.
Some people can set a clock by TOM and others (like myself) are very sparatic. But if it makes you have some peace of mind go see a gynecologist.
Take care.....:)

i havent' had mine since december. my doctor told me that a lack of fat (healthy fat that is) in your diet can cause your period to be irregular or totally non existent. maybe try incorporating almonds or salmon into your diet. there's nothing wrong with it. but if you and your parents are that seriously worried you should see your doctor.
I wouldn't be; there's a good chance your body is still growing and developing. It's quite common for even the first 2 years after your menstrual cycle begins to have irregular periods.
I had my first one at 13 and randomly had them months between each other for the next few years, and finally got put on medicine to regulate them.
However, if you're underweight or have symptoms of PCOS, you might have some issues. I'd bring it up to your doctor the next time you go for a checkup, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Take care!
