Who serves a good, relatively low-cal stir fry?
I want to take my daughter out to eat and I would like to have stir-fry. Does anyone know which chain might have something like that? I'll probably have about 600-800 cals to "spend."
TIA.
Unfortunately, I don't know of a place that has a relatively low-calorie stir-fry.
However, I do tend to make my own version of "stir-fry" at home. In fact, I'm preparing to make one right now, lol. A serving of my stir-fry comes out to about 500 calories, give or take. Mine isn't all vegetables, either. I make a heck of a lot and eat it for like a week. <3 I usually make mine with steak, rice, chicken, bell peppers, onion, eggs (usually one), and today I'm adding some mushrooms to the mix.
I hope someone will be able to point you in the right direction! You could always make an all-veggie stir-fry at home, or you can throw things together like I do. That way you know for certain how many calories the entire batch of it is, and you can figure out how many calories you're roughly getting per single serving. =)
You could try a mongolian barbecue if there is one nearby. YOU control what actually goes in the bowl that they cook (veggies, noodles and meats are generally available) and YOU add the oil and spices as well. Only thing they MAY have to add as they cook it in front of you is water to help the veggies steam on the giant griddle.
MONGO's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! 30 veggie choices, fish beef chicken etc (i vote for the salmon), just don't add oil (or if you do, add just a little); stick to the water-based flavorings
lunch is significantly cheaper than dinner, last time i checked. and you could get one bowl as opposed to unlimited, as unlimited bowls winds up to be only 2 for even my strongest- stomached friends.
