It depends on what your calorie allowace is, and what type of fruit.
I'd stay away from bananas and pineapple - high sugar, and stick with high fiber fruits like apples. Grapefruit would probably be good too. I've heard Kiwi's are good, as they're small, compact and bursting with vitamin C. Grapes are high sugar too, and you can get carried away eating them. ooh! berries are really good, low calorie and very good for you - eat lots of berries!
What kind of fruit to you usually eat?

the fruits I eat are apples, oranges, melons, grapefruits- i was just wondering in protion control of servings if an extra fruit would hurt with the diet???
I eat as much fruit as I want. I log it into my food log and work it into my daily allowance. No problem.
oh my! don't stay away from bananas... they're very good for you ... in the right quantity and if it's recorded in your food log. A medium banana fills me up and satisfies a sweet tooth ... don't deny any fruit from your diet...each one has different nutrients and variety is the spice of life!
And as for how much fruit to eat each day... depends on what else I'm eating... some days I have more fruit than veggies...and other days it's the reverse...

I eat a lot of fruit and am losing weight . . . so yes, you can eat more than 3 servings, especially since the "servings" for fruit are so small.
Yesterday, I had a large orange (more than one serving's worth), a large apple (more than one serving's worth), strawberries, a pear, and grapes. Probably about 7 servings worth altogether.
I credit lots of fruit with breaking the back of my sugar cravings.

I ususally eat 3-4 servings of fruit a day, regardless of whether I'm losing weight or not.
I eat more fruit in the summer, simply because there's way more variety then.
(While tropical fruits are indeed higher in sugar, they still contain vitamins, especially C, and minerals. Besides, they're much healthier for you than a candy bar!)

I agree with the fruit combating the sweet tooth!
When I was breaking my sweet tooth, I would just have a piece of fruit if I wanted something candy sweet.
Now, my sweet tooth craves fruit instead of sugar!

fruits is amazing, eat as much as you want
My goal is 5 servings of fruit and 5 servings of veggies a day.
Just try to eat the full spectrum of colors when it comes to fruits and veggies.
