OOOOoooo I tryed a new tummy exercise that I have never done before and I started to shake. What caused that? It was uncontrollable. I stopped and started over and it did it again. WHat I did was you go down like you are going to do a push up but you are on your forearms instead of your palms of your hands. You stay in that position for a few seconds then start again. It didnt scare me at all but it was weird. Viktor can you tell me why? huggers for the answer

Well, I think this happens when your muscles are weak, and when your smaller balancer muslces aren't as developed as the exercise requires. It isn't neccesarily a bad thing. You are most likely working muscles that are not used to working that way, and they make shake from the new stress, or from a new angle of pull. Doing the exercise slowly, producing the shaking, will most likely build up those muscles, and the shaking will take longer and longer (more reps) to occur.
I know the exercise you're talking about, it's almost like plank pose in Yoga, but you rest on the forarms.

I shook the first few times I did it (as well as virivashana - boat pose... like balancing on your bum with arms out and legs straigt up)....

It just means your core muscles aren't that strong yet.

The shaking won't do any damage and it will stop once the muscles are stronger.
wheww thanks...ok I know you are right because my tummy muscles are not strong...I am going to keep do these and maybe the shaking will stop soon...thanks...huggers for nervous muscles

It's definitely weak (or tired) muscles. It happens to me a lot when I'm doing new abdominal exercices - I've even seen it happen to the instructors when they've been teaching too many classes. My hands do it when I go to boxing classes (almost never). My leg used to shake like a vibrator when I was recovering from weakness due to knee surgery, even when I was just trying to stretch it - my personal trainer used to laugh at me. We have that kind of relationship.
