How shall I celebrate the minus 100 lbs mark?

Quote  |  Reply

Just another success story from calorie count...I'm currently at 227 down from 314.  I'm headed for 135-160 lbs.  I'm trying my best to eat right, walking with the dog twice a day, all the yard/house work and weights twice a week.  I'm under too much stress for my taste sometimes lately but I can probably ride it out and it will stop.   I hurt moving around or sitting so I'd rather be moving around.  I also have to drug up to sleep most of the time.

Winter is going to be more challenging but I have my exercise tapes, a step and a treadmill for when the weather is bad and a little dog that insists on going for a walk.  I will try to get to the gym as frequently as I can.  The winters in the lower midwest are usually mild with an occasional snow but windy all the time.

Does anyone have any ideas on a very affordable way to celebrate my minus 100 lbs mark?  (I'm looking forward to a trip to the amusement park and ride all the scary rides sometime next year and some camping/hiking perhaps.)

Dear miss cas,

I am so incredibly happy for you!!! What a great success!! This is such an important step in your life that I think it should be something really great you have always wanted...

I think a small piece of jewellery would be great - even though it's not 'very affordable'.

A new piece of clothes maybe for Christmas or Thanksgiving could be a great celebration too.

A second dog from the shelter maybe ?? This way you would make 2 'souls' happy!

Oh there are so many great things to do!

Whatever it will be! I hope you will celebrate this day not alone but with many friends who are supporting you!

All the best!

B.

I would definately go shopping! Always makes me feel better to see those pant sizes drop! Go thrifting for a super affordable alternative. You`ll get some great finds.

Congrats!!!!!

First congratulations miss_cas on your 100 pound mark. I will be joining you in about 26 pounds more. Yet I still have about 30 more pounds I am trying to loose. I think that you should celebrate it by doing just about anything your heart desires as long as it's legal, HA! Seriously it's a great accomplishment and you shoud be very proud of yourself. Keep it up and keep it off forever, you have done it, you can keep doing it.

miss cas congrats on  the 100 lbs.I working toward 100 lbs. I am now at 210 down from 280. the thrifting mentioned earlier sounds like a great idea, shopping is always fun, but I prefer to go to thrift stores, yard sales  etc. the amusement park sounds wonderful. wish I could go with you next year.  my cousin and I closed out Astroworld, the final weekend, in houston. we had the time of our lives. I was lucky 3 yrs ago I was able to fit in the rides, then I gained even more weight and wasn't.... it was marginal when went at astroworld closing. I love amusement park and scary rides, hubby doesn't. would love to run away with cousin and go to dallas to six flags. hmmmm. maybe an  idea. back to you though. If there are any touristy things to do in your area,( things that are fun but you don't normally think of doing) such as local museums, zoo, historic places of interest etc. sometimes we overlook the things right in our own neck of the woods.   I hope that however you decide to celebrate that you have a wonderful time. what an amazing milestone. you should be very proud of yourself.  I had back surgery last year, a fusion, and that was the catalyst for my finally beginging to lose the weight.  Now I am exercising everyday, keeping my calories in check. and hey I swam 70 laps the past few times I have been swimming.  No one including me would have ever believed that 2 yrs ago.     Keep up the good work... celebrate everyday when you look in the mirror say... "look at that phenomenal woman looking back at me...  congrats again      &nbs p;    penny

Wow!  Congrats!!  Yea!  Good for you!!

Celebrate with something special just for YOU - anything but food of course!

Keep up the good work!

Miss_Cas, you are amazing!!  And you deserve an amazing reward.  I want to second the shopping trip.  Find a couple of outfits that look great on you.  Something with a great fit.  On our trip downward, we tend to not want to "waste" money on cloths that are only transient. But an outfit that fits great makes you feel great.  And it can always be altered later!!

Congrats Miss_Cas!!!

How about some new music CD's to work out to, a day at one of the area fall fests. or a day at the spa?

Getting a manicure, pedicure, or both could be fairly inexpensive (depending on where you go!) and will make you feel great!!

Maybe celebrate by rewarding yourself.. maybe a new purse, or some shoes, or something that you will be able to use even when you've lost more weight.

Congratulations on the awesome weight loss!!

congradulations!

i'd reward yourself with a shopping spree to buy more fitting clothes or many a trip to the cinema.

the main thing is not to reward yourself with food, because looking at food as a reward would be a bad road anyways good luck,

Go to the spa.  There are TONS of places that you can find great deals on spa packages and you can spend an entire day at a lot of really nice spas for only around $150.. it will be such a treat!  Of course it will take a little budgeting, but honestly, it's worth it!  And let them know that you've lost 100 pounds.. they will probably give you an extra spa treatment for free!

I agree with the pampering and a new outfit or maybe go and get fitted for new underwear as that will show off that new figure you've got!

and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Laughing

Yes, some sexy lacy underwear.. AND lingerie.  I don't know or care if you don't have anyone to wear it for because you should wear it for yourself!!

And the best way to reward yourself is to feel the difference.  Maybe go to a sporting goods store and just TRY to lift 100 pounds.. you're amazing for dropping that weight!!!!

A day at the spa... followed by shopping for the sexiest outfit you can find!

Thank you all for the words of encouragement.  I am so looking forward to being able to browse the misses section again.
