You are hourglass shaped :)

So am I

I agree that you are an hourglass shape! What a nice shape.

I want to be hourglass-shaped. Instead, I am more athletic, straight down. I am wide, but when I turn to the side I am only 5 inches wide.

I love the hourglass shape. It is so feminine and sexy. I wish I had a tiny little waist, large breasts, and nice full hips.

Oh wait, that's Barbie I am thinking of. LOL

My waist is 27,5 inches actually and it does not look small..I am not sure why..I would love to have a tiny little waist myself..

I do have large breasts..but my hips are not really filled..although they are 35 inches..90cms..

so I am not really sure if I am hourglass..

can I have such measurements as an hourglass figure and not look like an hour-glass ?

...sigh

of course. Anything is possible with the human body and when there is flesh involved. Perhaps people who look like Barbie are perpetually wearing a corset and cannot breath? Haha we would like to think so.

What size pant do you wear? In regular and inches you know like the inches by inseam type deal, sorry if it is a dumb question.

well I am Egyptian and the pant sizes here differ from the American sizes I think..

I wish I could tell..but I do not know

I wear size 30 skinny jeans in Egypt..

and size 30 normal jeans as well..

I looked it up online trying to transfer the size..The Egyptian and the American..but I can't find anything Frown

Thanks a lot for helping me out, andre Smile

I think if I tone up,I will look like an hour glass..but for now.. my tummy is soft..and my thighs jiggle Embarassed

Well you look gorgeous. Egypt, how cool! I took a class last semester called Arabian Women with my professor who used to live there, and actually lived with the Bedouin women for a year. I am jealous of your olive complexion and hair. I think I am the same size as you, as I wear size 30 or 31 jeans here in skinny.

I don't want to be a dick, but it's more of just because you seem to be confused, in order to be an hour glass your waist has to be 9 inches smaller than your bust and hips, and those two measurements must be within 2 inches of each other.

Good to know. :)

Andre..

that is really cool..living with the bedouin women must have been tough..I live in a small town..and people here are very conservative..like it is such a big deal that I show my hair and wear skinny jeans and do not cover up with a scarf or something..

Some, also Egyptians themselves, consider themselves arabs now..but I detest the arabic culture and I think it ruined the beauty of the ancient Egyptian civilization..and now it is gone..alas..

When people ask me,I say I am Egyptian..Egyptians are actually a mixture of africans, mideterraneans, greeks and arabs..

But nobody around here seems to notice that..I did not know myself until one of my American friends mentioned that..and it makes sense..if I read a history book, that is what I will find..but too bad the arabic culture brainwashed my people..and now Egypt is nothing more than a backwards country with an abusive culture..

Well anyways..

Thanks for your compliment..you are so sweet Smile

Kassanovella,that is good news..lol

I now need to slim my waist down..if my waist becomes smaller, then I will look more like an hour glass..

cause now I have to slim down like 3 inches from my waist or something..

cool Cool

Yes, she mentioned that it can be conservative there and that if you are to wear what Americans would consider modest clothing you may get leered at in the street. Too bad!

I am unlike a lot of Americans in my view of other cultures anyway, so I don't really judge at all. Everyone is different.

As long as you are rocking out your skinny jeans and wearing them with pride, I think that is great!

Yes - she said living there was tough but she got used to it and it was very fun, because the women there have their own unique culture. So interesting!

Hmmm, I just bought a measuring tape the other day. I came up with 48, 41, 48. I know I am huge...but I guess I have a decent shape. I don't meet the official 9in difference of a true hourglass as someone else explained, but I have a 7in difference which is close :) Even though I am huge somehow this thread made me feel better about myself. Thanks!

You ARE HOURSGLASS AND i CAN'T TYPE.

You sound like you have a great shape! I don't think anyone (including myself) could ever been toned enough, but whatever floats your boat, lol.

I don't have a measuring tape so you will have to go off of American sizing.....

34DD bra, size 0-2 pants/skirts, and usually a medium top.  I am 5'4" (exactly) and weigh 114 pounds........I do have a waist and a butt, but thankfully my thighs and butt are getting toned. My arms are the absolute most toned thing on me because my 16 month old is 25 pounds and loves to be carried! Of course my 5 year old is only 35 pounds and toned beyond belief (shes a gymnast).

I was an american size 4/28 when I had your measurements I believe.

Thank you,senior..

So I am 10 pounds heavier than you..lol..hehehe..

Last time it was a dietician around here measuring my height..I hope he got that right Laughing

so 4 as in a dress size and 28 in pants ?

well that is good, right? but I am still aiming for better..I want to be 53/54 kilos..that is like 118 pounds..I hope by the time I am 53 kilos, the softness of my tummy will be much less..and my thighs will be even smaller..and all in all,I will tighten up..

When I was your weight I still got the "your so skinny" comments, but now they tell me I look anorexic. I dont believe I do, so I just ignore them (co-workers)......Not sure my husband has even noticed 10 pounds gone......anyways I am sure you look great at a size 4, you have a beautiful face for sure! Many many many people are striving for what you are right now, just remember that!

Keep working on toning and you will get there! Tummy area for me was always the most difficult (after babies) but its do-able.

I measured myself again after I gained two and a half kilos..

I am now 35-28-37

OMG!!!

I am officially an hour glass..9 inches difference between the hips and the waist..and the bust and the hips can be two inches away from each other...

COOL!! Cool

Seems like the extra weight went to my hips..weird..cause my hips are always the last place where the fats go..and my breasts are the first place...

But I am still gonna get back on track and lose the weight that I gained...hopefully,when I lose weight,it is off from my waist...

Rachael,no problem Smile

Not to go against what you said, but rather to add. There is a misinterpritation of the Arab culture in which as you mentioned Egypt falls into. When one mentions "arabs", it should pertain only to people from Saudi Arabian peninsula (including Dubai, UAE, etc). These in general were the Bedouin you mention who astonishingly came from being a desertic nomad society to the potency it is today. The ancient nations who neighbor this land, ie. Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, etc have all then been dubbed "Arab" by the west when they are far from that.

The oldest are the Assyrians (the ancient babilonic cultures) which made up ancient Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan. The Persians made up places like Iran and Iraq. Egyptians themselves were ancient babylonians who settled in the region and created icons we see of Egypt today. Of course then throughout thousands of years we now have the mixture of people we see now.

I guess what I am trying to say is that Arab culture is quite new. It is a recent invention in which many things and customs are being taken in and being denominated under one banner. Of course I know there are problems which you mentioned.. That is on account of horrible autocratic governments and ignorance on the true sence of Islam by many with little education who are easily governed by those with ill intentions.

.... hm. somewhat offtopic I am aware. Sorry I have no idea about measurments or anything. You do look good though. =)

Egyptian history is one of the only histories I've ever been interested in. I love Egypt and hope to go there some day. :3

I'm a giant hourglass. And by giant, I mean giant.

52-42-54 I believe I am last time I measured.

Hot, I know.

Working on it. :3 Pounds are coming off, but inches aren't budging. I guess I'm losing the weight in my toes, lol.
